My First Kill

I ran off from the mansion and headed into the woods, cloaking myself with my invisibility powers. Other than communicating with animals and being able to transform into other forms; this was one of my favorite powers to use. Like this, no one can see me and I can truly be alone.

I gripped my quiver and slung it over my shoulders and watched at it too disappeared within my fingertips. I knew it was still there; I could feel its weight pressing down on me. I liked it; the ability to sense that my belongings are still there even though they've become clocked from my powers.

It... Intrigued me.

I remained silent, zig-zagging through Slenderman's Forest and into the town; using my surroundings as camouflage despite the fact that no one would be able to see me. I didn't want to leave anything to chance; it was my chance to prove myself, and I wasn't about to risk losing that now. I had to kill.

I had to prove myself worthy.

I had to prove...

That I was one of them.

I moved carefully and quietly throughout the edge of the forest, keeping my distance as I searched for my unsuspecting victim. I could feel my blood boiling and my heart pounding deep within my chest as I gripped my bow tightly.

How dare she? I thought I am one of them. I shook my head as I glanced around the area surrounding me; so far there was nothing to be seen. I glanced at the time and gritted my teeth; it was late, only 8:10 pm, but I knew that I couldn't take my sweet time; for I'd lose my cover of darkness.

I... Had... To... Be... Fast.

I had to kill.

... ONE HOUR LATER...

I glanced down at my watch and huffed. One hour had already gone by and I have yet to find a single victim. I shook my head, taking a deep breathe in an out to collect myself and clear my head. I looked at the sky then back towards the town; there was still plenty of darkness to do what was needed. All I had to do was find one person to be my unsuspecting victim.

I opened my eyes and continued my search; scoping the town from the edge of Slenderman's Forest. I was not yet ready to step into the town; I knew I couldn't be seen, but I was paranoid. I did not dare risk to get myself caught, not today; not when I finally had my opportunity to prove myself to the others.

"Where is everyone...?" I muttered softly, my voice barely a whisper. "I've never imagined the town to be quite so...dead."

I carefully inched my way into the town, but still remained close to the forest's edge. I knew I had only another two hours before I'd start to risk losing my darkness; I needed to be sure I could make a quick escape and retreat back to Slenderman's mansion should things go wrong.

Don't mess up.

Zero's words rang in my head, but it didn't tear me down.

Don't mess up.

It only made me more determined.

Don't. Mess. Up.

I picked up the place, but did my best to move swiftly and quietly; the worst thing I could do was make noise and draw attention to my general direction. My invisibility powers can only do so much, and there was no way it could save me if I started to become cocky. I had to remain collected and go about this properly; I can't just start shooting arrows at the slightest movement my eyes fell upon.

I had to prove to myself and to the others, especially Zero, that I was just as capable of making kills; but I had to do it properly and go about it in the right way. Unlike some of the other Creepypastas, I didn't thrive off of killing just about anyone, I only had one kind of target in mind, and it was the bastards that deserved to die.
