After finally being shown to my room and getting a good nights' sleep; I got myself out of bed and bathed, getting ready for the day. Once I was cleaned up and dressed, I made my way down the long spiral staircase down to the main floor. After the long first day I had, getting to explore my surroundings and meeting most of the residents here; I was still pretty tired.
There was nothing I wanted to do more than to kill some time by playing video games and maybe, just maybe, Ben would want to play with me. If not, I'll just play on my own; I wanted to let off some steam from the night before, so I was going to play whether anyone joined me or not.
I snaked around the hallway and entered the living room; at first glance, there was nobody around. I shrugged and went to sit down, turned on the television and picked up a controller. At last, some time alone. I adjusted the volume on the television and chose my game of choice; one of my favorite racing games of all times.
It was just me, the T.V. and hours of entertainment. All that was missing was maybe a snack or two; I could really go for a bowl of Peanut Butter Pretzels or a bowl of Doritos right about now. I shrugged and pressed play, zoning off into my own little world as I played my frustrations away.
9 HOURS LATER
Still sitting on the couch and playing video games; I hear Jeff enter the room, watching him out of the corner of my eyes as he came to see what I was doing.
"What game are you playing?" He asked.
I paused my game mid-race and looked towards him; giving him my full attention as I responded to his question.
"A racing game called ATV: Off Road." I replied.
"Cool..." He said, "I see you're in a good mood now." He paused and looked around, as if to make sure I wasn't pulling a fast one on him. "Usually you throw me into stuff." He added.
I shrugged, giving a small laugh. "Naw, you're good for now." I said, "I just got it out of my system by playing video games for the last nine hours or so. So, you're safe for the time being."
Suddenly, I was in the mood to talk. Which was quite odd for me considering that I'd normally try to isolate myself. Sometimes, I just get overwhelmed and need some time alone.
I continued to make eye contact with him, and smiled as I recalled my meeting with Kat the night before. "I was with Kat the Pyro last night when we spoke a bit about the proxy test and what I should expect when it comes time to do it." I added.
I paused to catch my breath; partially expecting Jeff to walk away or get bored by me rambling on. Though, seeing him still standing there, I pressed on.
"Although, I haven't seen or heard from her since I woke up this morning." I chuckled and shook my head. "I'm actually quite surprised I was able to find my room; if it weren't for Slenderman showing me where it was... I probably would have ended up sleeping in the kitchen."
Jeff nodded and shrugged; which I didn't blame him for. He probably didn't really care what I did or who I spent time with; besides... he probably has better things to do anyways.
"Ok then..." He said, "Well, I'm gonna go out killing now.... Have you gone out yet?"
I shook my head. "Well no..." I said, "Slenderman hasn't given me any tasks."
Jeff rolled his eyes, "Of course not." He muttered.
"He wants me to get used to life here in the mansion..." I quickly added, "And to meet the residents."
"So..." Jeff said, "Go and meet them; you're not gonna meet anyone just by sitting around."
I groaned, I knew he was right.
I shook my head, keeping myself seated. "Then why don't YOU introduce me to people..." I suggested.
Jeff folded his arms across his chest and stared at me. With a quick sigh, he shook his head and opened his mouth to speak.
"Who do YOU not know...?" He said, "And I'll go get them."
I glared at him. "That's a good question Jeff..." I said. "Let me just pull a list out of my ass." I shook my head, "Do you really think I'm going to really know the names of those I haven't even met yet?" I asked, "Seriously Jeff... use your head."
Jeff just stood there, his foot tapping against the hardwood floor as his eyes continued to stare directly into mine. I looked away, uneasy.
"Does this question get an answer or are you just gonna throw me out the window?"
Don't. Tempt. Me. I thought to myself.
I closed my eyes, thinking long and hard about all the Creepypastas that resided here as well as who I have and have not met yet. I could feel my body shake as I tried to remember everyone's names; including the ones of those I have not met. I remembered seeing a list on the fridge the night I made Toby waffles; now I'm just trying to recall them.
"I still need to meet: Nathan the Nobody, Suicide Sadie – I think, Zero, Puppeteer, Judge Angels, Laughing Jill, Jason the Toy Maker and um... uh..." I said at last. "Um... There's a few others too, but I can't recall what their names are..."
Jeff nodded, seemingly happy that I had given him an answer and decided against throwing him out the window.
"Ok, I'll get someone."
"Thanks Jeff."
Jeff leaves the Room and Returns a little while later with Zero
"Hey. I'm Zero. You must be the new chick."
I nodded. "Yes, I'm Amythest. It's nice to meet you."
"You've been here a while haven't you?" She asked, "Why didn't you come say hi earlier?"
"Hi, I'm Sadie." Said another girl.
I shrugged. "I haven't been here that long..."
"When did you get here then?" Zero asked.
Again I shrugged. "Like... Maybe a night or two ago... I don't really know how time works in this place..." I admitted sheepishly.
Zero laughed. "Same as everywhere else, one night at a time." She said, "And hey Sadie."
There was a long pause as the three of us exchanged glances. I shuffled my weight from one side to the next as our conversation continued.
"Are you the new girl?" Asked Sadie, "Nice to meet you."
"Oh..." I said, "Then in that case, I've only been here for 24 hours. Today is my second day here." I then turned my attention to Sadie and waved.
"Cool. Everyone already knows about you." Said Zero. "So, don't mess up."
Gee thanks Zero... Pressure much...
"Have you made your first kill yet?" She asked.
"No... not yet Zero." I said. "Just like I mentioned to Jeff the Killer earlier; Slenderman hasn't given me any tasks yet."
"Have you started training at all?"
I pursed my lips together, placing my hands in my pockets. "Um... Does throwing Jeff into the pond or a giant spider web count?"
Zero shook her head and I frowned. "Not really..." she said, "That's just funny."
"Slenderman wants me to get used to the place first. So that's kind of what I've been doing." I said in reply.
"No offence, but if you've never killed than what makes you think you can be one of us."
I growled lowly as my eyes began to glow red. I quickly brushed my bangs in front of my eyes to hide them. "Fine then." I turned away and walked off; grabbing my bow an arrows from inside the enclosure and went off to hunt alone as I slammed the front door behind me.
"Way to go Zero..." Said Ben as he watched the scene unfold.
"What?" She said in defense. "It was just a question."
