Splendorman's Mansion & Proxy Test Day

We emerged from the portal, its glowing gateway closing behind us as we stepped into Splendorman's Mansion. I looked around, gently gripping Susie's hand as we walked around looking for Slenderman's brother, Splendy. Though, it didn't take very long to locate him as he had found us.

"Hi!" said Splendorman. "It's lovely to meet you!"

I took a step back, slightly taken aback by his friendly demeanor.

"I believe this child belongs to you," I said, gesturing to Susie who stood beside me. "I just saved her from four men who had her cornered. You're welcome."

Splendorman bowed, "Thanks!"

I looked around the room, seeing other child Creepypastas. Part of me wondered if either of them had any family or homes to go to and this was just a place they gathered to hang out with other child Creepypastas. Though, part of me also wondered if these children were all orphaned.

"So..." I began, "Is she like an orphan or something; I mean, she shouldn't have been out and about on her own. I mean, she was completely alone. I'm an orphan too but at least I can take care of myself for the most part."

Splendy nodded, "Well, yes. All of these kids are."

"Oh..."

I could feel a tightness in my chest. I knew what it was like to be alone, to have no real family of my own after the loss of my parents. I had no one else and I couldn't help but feel a great sadness going out towards these children Creepypastas. My eyes changed colour to match my emotion, they were no longer my normal eye colour; they now took on an ice blue colour.

"But... they are all so young..." I said.

Splendy nodded. "Most of them are ghosts." He said.

"This one doesn't look like one," I said, pointing to Susie.

"She's the only live human kid here," Splendorman replied.

"I kind of want to take Susie home," I said as I looked from Splendy to Susie and back again.

Splendorman looked at me as if he was somewhat uncertain by my statement. I looked back at him with hopeful eyes, I mean I did just save the kid so I was really hoping that Splendy would give me the approval to do so.

"I mean it Splendy," I said, "The kids an orphan, I don't mind adopting her. I mean, if that's ok with you Splendorman."

Splendy clasped his hands together, "Well, I've never really had any of my child Creepypastas adopted from my place; no one from any of my brother's mansions has ever adopted a child from me." He said.

I smiled happily, "So is that a 'yes'?"

"Well, it is a rather odd request coming from a new face around here, but... I don't see why not." Splendy said with a nod, "Although, are you sure you want this one..?"

"As opposed to who?" I asked in reply.

Splendy looked around the room then back at Susie and myself. "It's just that, Susie is kind of weird..." He said, "She likes to kill other girls her age to practice hairstyles as if their heads were mannequin heads."

I looked towards Susie then back at Splendy, "I see, well, uh, who else you have that's around her age that doesn't kill kids." I asked. "Just out of curiosity.

"Oh, she only kills human kids, not other Creepypastas." He said with a slight chuckle.

I nodded, "Well then Susie will be just fine then. What do you say, kid?"

Susie looked at me, giving a small smile. "Sure, why not." She said, "The others here don't like me anyway."

I nodded, "Do you have anything that you need to pack from here?"
