Unwanted

I was selecting a set of pajamas from my closet when I heard a scream. I flung the clothes to my bed and I ran out of my room to see what was going on.

I got to the parlor and and saw my mom and dad watching a horror movie. I looked at them, sighed and went back to my room. I got dressed in PJs and set my air conditioner to a certain temperature. I put my duvet over my body and I slept off almost immediately.

My alarm rang at 8:00am. I kicked my duvet from my body, changed my pj trousers to shorts. I began to do my chores for the day. I finished at about 11. I got to my room and lay on the floor. I saw my phone on my bedside table and I decided to put it on.

As soon as I put on my data, all the messages I received last night poured in.

Simi: Big head! Where are you? Why didn't you come to school today [6:42pm].

Simi: So you went to flex without me abi? Hope you brought something back for me oh or I'll cut your legs and give it to my dogs.[6:44pm]

Simi: Anyway, Tj has been worried about you. He tried calling your phone but it wasn't reachable.[6:45pm]

Simi sent like three other messages, talking about school and teachers. I sighed and replied all of them.

I left her chat and went to TJ's. I opened his chat and realized he was ranting the same way Simi was. I replied him too and threw my phone on my bed after switching off my data.

After about 20 minutes of laying down and not doing anything, I left my room and got into the bathroom to have my bath. I dressed up and left the room to the kitchen to look for food.

The rest of the weekend went by like flash and soon, it was Monday again. I got to school a bit early. Tj and I decided to tell my mom about the pregnancy today before she'll find out on her own and totally flip out. I got to my class and sat down quietly on my chair.

I brought out my phone, put it on flight mode and opened my Wattpad. There was this new book I was reading, Numb. I opened it and started reading the book and I didn't know when someone showed up behind me and tickled me. That someone could only be Tj. I looked up and smiled at him.

"Hey babe." He said, kissing my cheek.

"Hey you." I smiled.

He sat down on my table and continued, "I missed you on Friday. Simi was annoying the hell out of me. She was just talking about what might have happened to you, maybe your mom killing you, or you were kidnapped, she had so many crazy ideas. She's a demon." He concluded.

Before I could reply, I heard a voice behind Tj. "I heard you though. Keep gossiping me and stop adding pepper to what I said. You're just exaggerating." Simi eyed him and came to hug me. "My babe, I missed you so much. I was so bored! I had to sit with this boy here. It was so annoying."

"You were the annoying one. I know you enjoyed my company. I know deep down inside you, you have a teeny tiny bit of crush on me." Tj said smiling joyfully. I shook my head and laughed together with Simi.

If only he knew. Crush my ass.

Tj has always been like that. He just assumes everyone likes him cos he's terribly cute. He has always been a positive minded person. He didn't like to think someone hated him. He just likes believing he's amazing.

"You wish pretty boy. Not everyone has the hots for you oh. Besides-" Simi stopped talking. Tj and I looked at her to know what happened. We traced her eyes to the doorway. A pretty fair girl was standing there, looking lost. She was quite tall. I couldn't really guess her height. Her hair was in a bun and her uniform was extremely short.

"Oh shots. No no no." Simi said, looking at me.

"What's wrong?" Tj and I asked simultaneously. On a normal day, we would have smiled and dwelt on the fact that we said the same thing at the same time. But seeing Simi's worried face removed that mood from us.

"That girl is my ex." Simi stated, breathing rapidly. She was shaking badly. Her fingers were trembling and she looked like she was close to tears.

"Wait your ex? Oh! Now I get it! No wonder you don't find me attractive." Tj said loudly. Simi and I glared at him hard enough for him to come back to his senses. "Right! This is bad timing. But seriously, who broke up with who? Give us full gist now."

Simi took a deep breath and started. "I met her when we were in jss3. During the long holiday, I went to the game center with my brother and she was there. She came to meet me almost immediately. We chatted for a while before I asked her to play with me. We played games together for a while and I just liked her instantly." She sniffed and continued. "She was so pretty, always smiling and her laughter was something else. She was funny too. So we exchanged numbers and I went home with my brother. We started talking but I didn't want to confess my feelings to her so I won't sound like a creep."

"We talked continuously for like a month before she told me how she felt and I told her I felt the same way. We started dating and things were going well. At least, I thought they were. After about three months, she told me I was a dare. That her friends dared her to flirt with me and get me to fall for her. She said she had to since I was the first girl to walk in through the door after they dared her. It was terrible. I felt terrible. I felt used. I was really in love with her, besides she was my first. I broke up with her, blocked her number and blocked her everywhere." Simi cried silently. I have never seen Simi this broken before. I hugged her and rubbed her back in circles.

Even Tj that jokes in serious moments, looked sad too. He looked like he was about to cry.

"Simi it's her loss. She lost you, she lost an amazing person. You don't have to cry. No! Cry. Let it all out. We got you." I looked at Tj and smiled at his type of motivational speech.

"Ewww. I don't want to cry. You guys want to make me cry." Simi said smiling with tears in her eyes.

"Is it not cry you're crying now? Abi are you smiling?" Tj retorted.

Simi sighed and glared at him. "You can never allow someone to enjoy their moment. God forbid." I laughed loudly at what she said.

Tj turned his head and looked at me. I knew what was coming next. "So you're supporting her abi?" I rolled my eyes and shrugged.

The bell rang almost immediately. We stood up and walked together to the assembly hall. Assembly was brief, too brief and I was so happy. The principal wasn't around, so she couldn't give her usual Monday speech that usually takes all the time in the world.

After the assembly, we all walked together to my class.

"Simi!" We turned to the direction the voice was coming from. We saw Simi's ex walking towards us with her long legs. Simi was shaking beside us, terribly.

Oh! Oh! This screams trouble.
