Oh! Oh! This screams trouble.

"Just relax." I whispered to her and intertwined my fingers with hers. Soon, the girl was at our front.

"Hey babe. I knew you were the one. How are you?" She smiled at Simi and eyes our hands.

"Maeve." Simi said coldly.

Maeve? That's an unusual one. I've never heard it before.

"What are you doing here?" Simi asked sharply.

The girl oh sorry, Maeve was shocked at the tone Simi used but she immediately covered the shock on her face with a smile.
"Oh. I transferred from my other school since we recently moved to this area. But I'm moving into the hostel today or tomorrow." Simi's body became rigid beside me.

"Good to know." Simi muttered. "Nice seeing you again." Simi said and turned to leave.

"Simi wait! Please can I talk to you? Later I mean. I really need to talk to you."

"There's nothing to talk about." With that, she left Tj and I behind. We left the awkward scene and walked together to my class.

The bell for first period rang and Tj left to go to his class. I was bringing out my notebook when I felt someone sit beside me. I looked up and saw Maeve glaring at me with all her strength. I looked away to avoid an awkward situation.

She cleared her throat beside me. I looked up and found her smiling. "I don't think I introduced myself to you. I'm Maeve." She said sweetly, she stretched her hands out for a handshake. I took her hands and faked a smile.

"I'm Amaka." I said and withdrew my hands.

"That's cool. It's nice to see Simi moved on with a pretty girl too. But I'm afraid to say, you don't look like her type." She said, almost too sharply.

I choked on my spit and nearly screeched. "What?" I said, when I found my voice.

"I didn't see you as a dumb one." She eyed me.

"Interesting. Well Simi and I are not dating. I don't do girls." I snapped and faced my notebook.

"Oh. I thought. I thought you guys were a thing." I turned and looked at her face.

She had a pointed nose, her lips were pink and thin. Her hair was black with streaks of silver and looked way too curly for her to not be mixed and she looked almost white. She also had a slight accent.

I turned to look at my fingers while I played with them. When she noticed I wasn't going to answer her, she kept quiet and took the memo.

"Sorry to disturb but can you help me talk to Simi? I know things ended badly but my feelings for her were genuine." I nodded as she picked her words slowly.

"I'll see what I can do. She's pretty upset though." She sighed.

"I know. But I'll like to make things right." She said, looking at me through her eyelashes. I nodded and ignored her while the teacher entered into the class for our lessons.

I ignored her completely through out the lessons. She seemed pretty nice though but I know Simi will kill me if she catches me talking to her excitedly.

Soon, it was time for lunch break. Tj came to my class to get me. After greeting his friends at the front of the class, be walked to my chair. He was shocked to see Maeve sitting beside me. He quickly recovered and kissed me on my lips.

"Let's go, Simi is waiting." As if on reflex, Maeve turned her head to look at Tj immediately he called Simi's name. I stood up from my chair and left with him.
