Song: Like you by Tatiana Manaois.
"Ouch! That was painful!" I yelped and turned to look at Maeve, who snickered.
"Ouch! That was painful!" She mimicked me and I hit her hand.
"What is it? Why did you pinch me like that?"
"Because I was telling you something and you weren't listening. What were you thinking about ehn?" She said, crossing her hands over her chest.
"How is that your business now? I'm hungry jare." I huffed.
"Amaka and Maeve am I boring?" I suddenly remembered our Chemistry was at the front of the class.
I sat down well and looked at her. "No ma." Maeve and I said in unison.
"Good, now listen up." She said, returning back to the board. Maeve snickered and I giggled. The class dragged by slowly and it was soon time for her to leave.
Maeve and I stood up from our seats and went to Simi and Tj's class to get them. We were at the door standing when we heard two people arguing, I looked inside and saw Simi arguing with Amanda. Maeve and I both walked in immediately.
"Don't tell me that rubbish biko. Don't even try it, do I look like all those small children you push around? Ehn?" Simi asked, putting her hands on her waist.
"You must be really stupid, who are you that you should challenge me? You this small rat!" Amanda said, rushing towards Simi.
"Don't even allow me to use my hand to sanitize your face! Are you alright? Who are you calling a small rat? Wait self, who are you that I shouldn't challenge ehn? Get out of my face biko." I knew this was my cue to take Simi away. A lot of people were already gathering at the scene and I knew Simi would really beat Amanda up. Simi was that razz.
I went towards her and held her. "No nah. Stay here let me teach you a lesson. You gave this bed bug here a signal to take you away abi? You're scared now." Amanda snickered along with her friends.
"Hold it! It's one thing to insult her, I didn't even want to talk but it seems like you want to be mad today. Shameless thing." Maeve intervened and we all left the class.
We walked straight to the rest room because I knew Simi was pissed and she really needed to cool off. We got to the ladies and she washed her face, standing close to the wash basin.
"What even happened back there? Why was that mad dog barking?" I asked, looking at Simi.
She hissed and then sighed. "She's a very stupid person. She saw me talking to her boyfriend and then asked me to stand up from the chair I was sitting, my chair oh. Just imagine the nerve. When I ignored her, she started barking. Then I showed her two people can be crazy." Simi chuckled and we joined her.
"You did good babe. That one is just and attention seeker, can we go and eat now? I'm hungry." Maeve said and Simi and I looked at her. She shrugged and walked in front of us.
We got there and people were looking at Simi and whispering. I guess word went round that someone stood up to Amanda, the bully. Normally, people tend to avoid her but today was different.
We took our food and went to sit at our regular table. Tj was already there with two of his friends.
"Hey babe." I pecked him and sat down beside him.
"Hey Amaka. Long time." Tony, one of his friends said.
Okay so Tony and I were close at one point, when I first came to MMHS. He's a fair tall guy, his hair was always low and surprisedly, it fit him and he was always smiling. We grew apart when I started dating Tj and we just became the hi-hi type of friends.
