*ANGELS SINGING*
The first bite of Lou Malnati's Deep dish sausage
After you've removed the eating disordered label of "BADBADBADDON'TEATTHAT"
Is a heavenly experience.
Some would call it a divine act of God.
The crust is crunchy, but not soggy from the toppings.
The tomato sauce on top is hot, the texture as smooth as butter.
The cheese pulls like a stereotypical pizza would.
Only high into the air does the chees break free from the rest of the pie.
When the eating disorder isn't talking 100 miles a minute,
You can truly just enjoy a masterpiece.
A Chicago specialty, deep dish pizza has been everyone's
Favorite at one point in their lives.
And in that moment of the first angelic bite,
There are no numbers. No worry about weight. No restrictive thoughts.
It's just you, and that slice of golden deliciousness.
Thank the stars for recovery.
