Screams and cries of agony and fear echoed all around the broken ship as the remaining fighters fought. Swords against swords, fists against faces.

On the way home from the journey of a lifetime and away from the destruction of Asgard the ship was and was still being attacked. Dozens of aliens, who to Rachel's surprise looked similar to the Chitauri had entered the ship and were attacking anyone who either posed a threat or anyone who retaliated.

Valkyrie, Korg and Miek were all helping the Asgardians towards the escape ships but that was proving a task with many of the Asgardians being killed in the process of evacuation. Several had fallen already and the ones fighting back were beginning to find it hard not to fall over a lifeless body.

"There's too many!" Rachel heard Thor cry from beside her as she killed another Chitauri, slashing her sword through its torso rapidly. Thor kept punching, kicking and using his lightning to take out his opposition but, even he was beginning to tire.

"Keep going!" Rachel demands the new ruler of the Asgardians with determination and tire lacing her loud voice as she her eyes glowed with blue lightning whilst slicing the heads of three Chitauri with a single swing. "We can't give-" She continued but was cut off by a blast of blue that barely missed Rachel and flew into Thor, it knocking him down and near the steps were the throne used to sit.

Rachel gasped as her head swung towards were the blast came from and saw two people who were far taller than the Chitauri. A man and a woman. The man held his sceptre evilly and was quick to go after Asgardians who tried to flee which meant the woman was responsible for the blast. Her eyes locked with Rachel's them filled with evil and savageness as she twisted her trident.

Rachel clenched her free fist tightly as more people or rather savages or monsters entered the ship. Her eyes set on the woman who began to sprint forward. Shooting a second blast, Rachel effortlessly avoided it with her speed and phased through another just as well. The woman seemed surprised by the action but made her more ready for her attack. What the woman failed to realise was how fast Rachel was. She used her her speed and sped up to the woman before Rachel slammed her foot into the woman's abdomen and as Rachel slowed, her shield still clipped onto her back, it not for a second shifting she watched the woman cry out in surprise in pain before she hit the wall of the ship. Rachel twisted her sword as the woman rose to her feet rapidly as if nothing had happened and sped towards Rachel and the speedster let it happen.

Rachel unclipped her her shield from her back and used her speed like she had several times to slip it onto her arm quickly. The woman went to slam the end of the trident into Rachel but the speedster was too fast. Rachel lifted her shield and used it to stop it. The clang echoed through the ship and the woman swung her foot at Rachel's legs, catching her off guard. Rachel fell to the floor, her back slamming against it and she groaned, her eyes widening as she became vulnerable to attack. The woman readjusted her grip on her trident and once more slammed it towards Rachel in attempts to kill her but Rachel rolled out of way just in time with help from her speed and got on one knee quickly eyeing her opponent.

"Who are you?!" Rachel asked, practically screaming at the woman as she went to attack her again. Rachel's sword clashed against the long handle on the trident as she blocked the swing.

"Proxima Midnight." She states in a husky tone which made her sound a lot more menacing. Proxima placed more weight down on the trident as she had the higher ground seen as Rachel was still on one knee. "You're no hero here, neither are you someone worthy of it. But you shall be valued as someone who's helped bring balance." She continued avoiding Rachel's leg that swung at her feet by jumping. Their weapons swung apart as the action took place them both standing like warriors as they eyed each other.
