7. Assemble

Walking out to where Rocket had landed the ship Rachel and Bruce walked side-by-side. They had been assigned to join Rocket in bringing Thor back to HQ for the mission. And Bruce wasn't going anywhere without his tacos which he held in his hand.

"Hey Nebula!" Rachel greets as she waltzed towards the entrance of the base.

"Are you aware of that idiot in the landing zone?" Nebula asked as she walked by leaving no time to waste in stopping. "Cause he's an idiot."

"Huh?" Rachel furrowed her eyebrows confused before she and Bruce looked at one another concerned. Turning their heads towards the landing zone where Scott sat with an empty taco shell as Rhodey walked by in his War Machine armour. "Oh I told him not to do that." Rachel tells Bruce as they approached and kindly Bruce handed him a couple tacos he had made to replace the other one. Scott looked at him rather shocked by the gesture but took them anyways.

"You off to get Thor?" Scott asked as they walked on.

"Yeah! We'll be back in a few hours tops!" Rachel shouted back as they approached Rocket who waited for them on the steps to the Benatar.

"Kay!" He responds.

"You heard from Valkyrie yet?" Rachel asked Bruce as they walked up the steps.

"Nothing. Maybe bad signal but apparently from what I know he's not good." Bruce admits.

"Welcome aboard." Rocket greets with complete sarcasm. "Don't drop those tacos got it?" He told Bruce who nodded before they all entered the ship.

Once they arrived in 'New Asgard' as Thor had named Tonsberg after him and his people settled there five years ago the group jumped out of the truck that took them there. The Benatar couldn't safely land nearby seen as Tonsberg was located by cliff edges and the sea so that way was safer.

Some of the people who recognised Rachel greeted her with a nod even though she hadn't been with them since they first got here five years ago. Erasing that, Rachel kindly nodded in return as she adjusted her comfy jacket.

"Kind of a step down from a golden palace and the magic hammers and whatnot." Rocket piped as he looked at the faraway houses that were pretty regular around these parts.

"Hey have a little compassion." Bruce scolded as they walked along the pier towards the houses of the remaining Asgardian's. "First they lost Asgard and then half the people. They're probably just happy to even have a home." Bruce explained to Rocket who looked up at him almost seeming guilty of his comment.

"It's better for them to live somewhere rather than being cramped up in some ship somewhere in space." Rachel added with slight sass as she walked alongside the two. "This is where Thor wanted them to reside anyway. Away from the action."

"You shouldn't have come!" A sudden voice shouted towards them. All three gazes went towards the one and only Valkyrie who was looking their way already. Rachel and Bruce smiled upon seeing their friend.

"Ah, Valkyrie!" Bruce greeted as the group walked up to her. "Great to see you, angry girl!" He continued as Valkyrie chucked a raw fish into a nearby bucket before looking up at Bruce.

"I think I liked you either of the other ways." Valkyrie admits as she squinted up at Bruce almost confused.

"It's a lot to get used to." Rachel assures sending a lopsided smile in Valkyrie's direction. "It's good to see you."

"Same to you." She replied nodding curtly at Rachel.

"This is Rocket." Bruce then introduced as he gestured to Rocket with his hand. Valkyrie looked down at the raccoon confused as he leaned against a wooden box.
