Julia p.o.v.

This sucks so bad... And of all people, it's Rose. They should've listened to me, because I followed Rose down here and I know all about her mission down here. If I die, she's going to be the cause of everyone here dying and I can't let that happen. The people are so nice. While Rose and I make our way to the ghost captain's lair, we don't speak. She looks frightened and I just can't get the thought of her being the cause of these deaths off my mind. "Welcome to the trial, fallen souls." The captain tells us. I look over at his desk and see a pie-face game. He points at it. "You both have to get your heads in these, there are three rounds. In every round, each of you need to push the button and if you are lucky enough, nothing happens. But if you're not..." He removes the pie from the game set and initiates a gun on it's standard. "...then there would soon be blood on these floors." The captain finished telling his story. "Good luck." He said as he vanished into thin air leaving us with the gun-face game. Looking at it gives me the chills. We put our faces into the machine and I see the gun pointing straight at my face. "Are you okay Jule?" Rose asks to me, I angrily look to my left at her face. "No, of course I'm not! How could you ask that?" I yell at her. "Do you want to go first?" She asks me. "Do I want to?" I angrily look her in the eye, she is allowed to feel how mad I am at her. "Stop talking to me..." I look at the gun. "I'll go first." I look at the red button and try to ignore Rose for the rest of the game. I click the button, and lucky enough for me...

Nothing happens. "Thank god, I can't handle this." I say, relieved I take my hand back and relax. "So you still live..." Rose says. "My turn." She reaches her hand for the button. I sigh, knowing that I could die from a bullet through my head, I start questioning her. "While you're still alive," I say. "Why are you here? What do you know? I want everything about your journey." I look at her, I demand she answers my questions before she presses it. But she presses it. Lucky for me, nothing happens and I can force her to answer my questions. "I know one of my best friends sacrificed herself on the night some people went missing in another era. I want answers to why she died!" She says. "Wow..." I say. "I don't buy it at all." I press the red button again, still idle. "Julia," she says. "We are literally in another era, Angel was killed by something evil." She told me. What the hell? "Just now, you said she sacrificed herself. You're obviously lying!" I scream. She's making this up, Rose can't be trusted and I know it. "I think she was forced to!" She says. "And others died in the castle too, please listen and tell the others if you survive this." She's begging now. "Bullshit." I say. She closes her eyes and presses the button.

Nothing happens and it's time for round three. If it shoots, I die, if it doesn't she dies. And I definitely hope option two will happen. "You're up to something," I say. "You'll finish me off here and then go kill the others... You seemed so nice when I first met you..." I say. I look at the button, but I'm too scared to press it. "I am!" She says. "Believe me." She starts tearing up. "I wish I could." I say. "Please, Julia, it's your turn." She says. Hearing her say my name makes me gag now. "This spin determines which one of us dies." She says. "I know." I say, and I click the button. It does not shoot! I'm so happy I get to live and tell the others what Rose told me. "I.. I'm alive?!" I say, and I can't stop my mouth from smiling and I can't stop my eyes from crying tears of happiness. "Oh no..." I barely hear Rose say. I feel no compassion at all. I know that I live and she won't and that's what keeps me satisfied. "I've won..." I say. "Snakes never win!" I laugh. I can't believe how easy this was. I've really ended this nightmare. I've never felt more relieved in my life. "Julia," she says. "I'm sorry you can't trust me, good luck when you survive." She reaches for the red button. "For a pilot," I say. "I've never seen you fly so low." I laugh at my own joke. She presses the button and I hear a click.
