After the storm had finally stopped, Boutonnière took out a bowl. "One last choice." He said. "For both of you." He smiled. Leon and Meghan got closer to look inside and see what was in it. Meghan facepalmed when she saw it. "Here we go again." Leon said. "Pick two names from the bowl, they will go into the challenge instead of you." Boutonnière says. "However, you're the ones playing." He says. "What is that supposed to mean?" Leon asks. "It means you'll be responsible for their life. "You're kidding me." Meghan says, and Boutonnière shakes his head. "I'm not, hurry up before I pick." He says. "I don't want anyone to die..." Leon says. Leon puts his hand in the bowl and picks a card without looking. He looks at the image on the card. "It's Roan..." He says. Meghan also takes out a card. "I won't take any risks for Rose." She says, and she takes Roi's card out. "I'm sorry." She says. "Where even are they?" Leon asks. Boutonnière points at the door to the lower deck. Leon and Meghan go downstairs, while Rose is walking upstairs. "Good luck." Rose says to them, and she approaches Jeremiah and sits down at a table to wait for them.

Once downstairs, Meghan and Leon notice a big bronze and golden machine with two glass tubes in which Roi and Roan are stuck, both tubes are connected to two control panels. "There's a note here." Meghan says, and reads it. She looks at the guys in the tubes who are begging to be set free, but the glass doesn't let any sound through. Meghan uses sign language to say 'Don't worry' to Roi. "The task ahead is to activate the machine of your opponent, the first one to enter the correct combination will activate the gassing tube of the opposing team while it unlocks the tube of your partner. The correct combination is what you need to find out." Meghan reads out loud from the note. "They can't be serious." Leon says. "Us solving a machine?" He looks at the panel's keyboard. "It's six numbers by the way." Meghan says. She starts trying combinations on her panel, she looks over at Roan, who is banging the glass, then she looks at Roi who is calmly standing, waiting for the challenge to be over. Meghan starts typing faster. Leon is still examining his panel.

"Roan is getting mad at you." Meghan says. Leon looks up at Roan, who is hitting the glass. "I have my tactics, can you use sign language to tell him I'm actually doing something?" Leon says. "Sure..." Meghan uses sign language and Roan just looks at her in a confused look. Meghan starts typing more, trying all combinations she can think of. "Maybe it's something logic, like the number of steps we took on the boardgame." She says. "No, it's not that." Leon says. Leon taps the keyboard. "I'm sorry." He presses the final number and the gas activates. "Roi! No!" Meghan yells. Roi panicks and looks up, but he sees no poisonous gas. Roi looks at Leon and at Meghan. "Why isn't anything happening?" Meghan asks. "Shit..." Leon says. They look over at Roan's glass tube and it's now filled with thick black gas, Roan is pressed to the glass, powerlessly standing there. Roi's tube opens. Roi runs to hug Meghan. "But why did Roan die?!" Leon asks. Boutonnière came walking down the stairs. "Remember what I gave you as price?" He said. "No..." Leon says. "I gave you extra luck to you and the ones you most want to survive..." Boutonnière responds. "You cared more for Roi's safety than Roan's." He said. "And there's more good news." Boutonnière says. "What is it?" Roi asks. "The night is over." Boutonnière says as he fades into thin air. Roi, Meghan and Leon look at eachother... "This means..." Roi says. He gets a big smile on his face. "We survived!" He yells, and he hugs Meghan and Leon. Leon look at Meghan, and she laughs. Leon awkwardly laughs along. "We need to get Rose!" Roi says. "We need to get away from this ship together." He says. They walk upstairs, and notice they're back at the dock they were at when they boarded the ship.
