Escape the Night

~ Do Not Touch ~

"We're on land?" Espen says. "Wait, that doesn't make any sense. How could we reach land just like that?" He asks. "I don't know, but should we get off?" Roan asks. Roi starts climbing down. "Already ahead of ya." He hops off and starts walking on the sand. "Roi, what are you doing?" Meghan asks. "Getting off this ship is what I'm doing!" Roi says. "I'm just worried, this could be dangerous." Meghan says. "We've been through way worse." Roi says. "Come on now, let's check out this island!" He says, and waves up to the others still up on the ship. "I agree with Roi." Leon says. "We need to at least give this a chance." He looks at Meghan. Meghan looks back. "But, don't you remember what happened last time we rolled the dice?" She asks. "This has to be some kind of trap from the dice we just rolled." She says. "Well. Have we seen anything weird lately from when we rolled the dice?" He asks. "The last 3 times had the kraken, ghost pirates and sirens. This time no weird creature showed up." Esmay says. "Meghan, we should just get off this ship and check out this island." Rose says, and she looks at Leon. He's obviouly trying not to look back. "No." Meghan says. "I'm not going." She says. "Well fuck you." Leon says. "Come on everyone, let's leave this bitch alone." He climbs off the ship and walks to Roi. Espen goes after him.

"Do you think people once inhabited this island?" Esmay asks. He's heading into the woods with Roi and Rose. "Maybe, but it seems pretty small." Roi says. "Hey, look over there!" Esmay says. "Is that a..." Rose paused, checked it out closerby. "Cabin?" She asks. "Am I the only one getting a bad feeling about this?" Rose asks. "Maybe we can find tools or weapons to help us escape, come on!" Roi says. Esmay inspected the cottage while they walked inside. "There's skulls outside the door." She said. The floor is creaking with every step they take. "It feels like we're back in the ship again." She says, and she takes a step back. "I think I'd rather keep watch." She goes out the door. "I get it, you're uneasy." Roi says. "Take a break." Rose smiles at her. And Roi and Rose walk into the cabin. Once inside, Rose notices a pile of skulls. "Those skulls do not look happy." She says, "I'm with you on this one." Roi says. "Something's up." He touches a skull.

Back on the boat, Meghan's still waiting. "What's taking so long..." She complains. "Maybe I should just go investigate like everyone else..." She says to herself. She walks to the edge of the ship and looks over. She starts slowly climbing off the ladder. "It'd be better if I at least help with something." She says, while proceeding to walk over the beach headed towards the forest. Once in the forest she is met with a beautiful waterfall. She looks at it and the river at it's end. "That's a beautiful waterfall.." She says. She approaches it and notices a cave behind the water. "Gotcha!" She goes around the waterfall to enter the cave behind it. She looks in the little pool inside the cave, and she sees dead fish. "Is there some kind of toxic leak on this island or something?" She kneels at the water and decides to put her finger in it to feel the water's temperature.

A loud, deep sounding voice can be heard groaning across the island.

Leon and Roan are hiding behind a stone. "Espen disappeared when it touched him." Leon says. He looks over the edge of the stone they're hiding behind and he follows a ghost jaguar. The jaguar looks his way and he quickly hides behind the rock again. "We're so fucked." Leon says. "Let's be subtle." Roan suggests. "Don't look over the rock." He says, and quietly settles himself. "Hey, Roan." Leon says, quietly. "Yeah?" Roan responds. "Do you trust Rose?" Leon asks. "No, not really, she seems sketchy and a power-house. Do you trust her?" "Of course not, Julia and Rhea warned us. They're dead now, and don't forget Rose knew both of them before this happened, they could have known." "She knows too much about this place to come here willingly..." "Exactly." "This may sound crazy, but you're right." Roan finishes. Right there and then, the jaguar jumps him from behind. "Oh my god!" Leon starts running. "I need to do something." He makes his way through the woods, trying to shake off the animal hunting him down.
