Escape the Night

~ Bloody Betrayal ~

While Roi, Espen, Rose and Meghan are waiting for either Roan or Leon to return, they hear clattering downstairs. "What was that?" Rose asks. "It's probably them." Roi said. "Oh no..." Espen says. "What if this means the death just happened?" He asks. "Umm... Guys?" Jeremiah says, and he points at the mother. The mother started walking their way, slowly, and her eyes started glowing yellow. "Is this a bad sign?" Roi asks. "I don't hope so!" Espen says. The mother walks towards Roi. "Umm...." Roi says. "Hello?" He asks. Then the mother turns around and looks at Espen. She full speed charges at Espen and grabs his shoulder, pushing her fingers between his bones. "Ow!" He yells. "Espen!" Rose screams. The mother pulls Espen from his chair and drags him down the stairs, not being careful at all, pushing her fingers into his skin harder and harder. Rose, Meghan and Roi follow them down the stairs. The mother lets go of Espen and brutally kicks him into the coffin she was just in. Espen starts screaming. "No! Espen!" Meghan screams. The mother pushes the lid on and Espen's screams are now only faintly heard through the few holes made in the for air. Roi grabs the mother and tries to pull her away but she brutally kicks him aside. "Ow!" He gets pushed against the wall and groans in pain. The mother nails the lid down with her finger nails, first ripping them out then pushing them through. She picks up the coffin and takes it upstairs. "What the hell is she doing?!" Meghan screams. The mother runs to the edge of the boat and throws the coffin into the water, while the others are watching her. "No!" Rose screams. "I thought it was going to be one of them, what just happened?!" Meghan screams.  The mother jumps into the water right after the coffin.

Leon and Roan arrive back on the deck. "Guys! We didn't mean to!" Leon screams, as he runs towards Roi, Rose and Meghan. "It was an accident!" Roan says. "Sure it was!" Meghan said. "What happened down there?" Roi asks. "We had to solve these riddles, and it included grammar and shit and it was very hard..." Roan says. "And after that, we got the combination lock to another room, and there was this cupboard with plates and names written on them." Leon explains. "And the one we smashed on the floor, would be the person who died." Roan says. "Why Espen? Why not me!?" Rose screams. "I deserve it much more than him!" She says. "We dropped his plate, by accident..." Roan says. "Which fucking one of you?" Meghan asks. They're quiet. "Fine. If that's how we want to play it." Meghan says. "Then so be it." Rose continues. Roi looks at Leon and Roan. "I mean, he wasn't the most useful on this ship." Roan says. "Excuse me?!" Meghan looks at him, face red with anger. "You didn't do anything more than any of us!" She screams. "Not even Lucas!" She heads to the door leading to the lower deck and slams it closed behind her. "Espen died!" Rose screamed. "And here you are, calling him useless? He isn't even here to defend himself!" She says. "If his plate didn't shatter it would have been yours! So I'd shut up if I were you!" Roan yells. "I bet you dropped the plate on purpose." Rose says to Roan. Rose runs down to the lower deck. Roan looks at Leon, who is standing there in silence. "What do you have to say?" Roan asks. "You did this!" He points at Leon and runs to the lounge. "Don't worry." Roi says. "I know you guys didn't do it on purpose." Roi says. "Let's try to get the group together and get on the same page." He says. "Thanks." Leon says. "You may be the youngest, but also the wisest on this ship..." He says, and he chuckles. "Thank you too." Roi says, and smiles at him. "It's unbelievable..." Leon says. "We ran around blaming everyone, but I don't think there's anyone to blame aside from the board game." He says. "Totally agreed." Roi says.
