Millie looked at the boy in such realization. She remembered that day, it was the day she had her first kiss and it was the day that she met the cute boy with the gloves. It turns out the cute gloved boy from the park is also the cute gloved boy from school. "I remember that day." She spoke so softly. She didn't even recognize him a few days ago when they bumped into each other. Finn nods as he stares at the sand, reminding himself why he's doing this. It was all for her, all of it. "Two months later I killed my foster dad and his mistress so I guess those kids were right...I'm a murderer." Oddly it didn't surprise Millie that he had done that. Maybe it's because she watched him kill her bullies. She's been desensitized.

The skinny pale boy gazed up at her. "My original plan after I got back from hiding out in Michigan was to find you and... I don't know, ask you to be my girlfriend?" Finn says in a more questioning tone. Thinking about it now, he doubted that that plan would actually work. Millie would have found out that he killed his foster dad and she would have turned him in or something. The brunette girl was just flattered that he would even want to be her boyfriend. "But then I saw that you had a few bullies of your own, so I had to return a favor from all of those years ago. It took me longer than I thought it would to set all of this up, four years to be exact, but I did it all for you. I did it to save you."

Millie smiles softly at the boy. She thought that what he was doing was actually pretty nice. Sure it's very gruesome, but she appreciates what Finn had done for her. So she leaned in and planted a little kiss to his milk colored cheek. The older boy had felt his heart beat faster when she did that and it brought him back to that moment when they were little kids on that playground. Millie's smile had faded as her eyes flicker from his own brown eyes to his soft pink lips.

Finn had noticed her lips as well. He noticed how perfect they were and how they were parted. He found himself leaning forward a bit and resting his hand on her cheek just to taste her lips. His tongue had licked her bottom lip and she opened her mouth a little for him. Heat grew between them as they continued to make out by the lake. Eventually they were both completely naked as they made love to each other in the sand.

Winona had visited the homes and asked all of the right questions like a good detective would. Some of the answers she had gotten were pretty short and basic. It was all mainly a bunch of "he/she was sick" or "there was a family emergency", but there were three houses she had visited where the conversation seemed strange. When Noni had stopped by the Matarazzo residents, a woman who was almost as tall as Noni with light brown hair had answered the door. She seemed a little jittery and nervous as she spoke to the detective and her answers were quick and short. She even blocked Winona's view into the house. However she did answer one question that left Noni confused, Gaten wasn't home.

Then when Winona went to the McLaughlin house just near the high school, a girl told her that she hadn't seen Caleb since Friday, the same day that Noah went missing. It made the woman's stomach churn. And lastly she went to the young miss Sink's home. This visit started off normal with friendly behavior, until Sadie's mother gave Winona some very unusual responses. "Sadie hasn't been home in days, but I'm not too worried. She's probably just hanging out with some boys after school again. It's actually quite normal for me to not see Sadie for long periods of time, but I promise I'm not neglectful of my child." Needless to say that Sadie wasn't around.

The difficulty of this case was finally weighing on Winona. So many kids were missing and now that she is aware about this Finn Wolfhard she can only think the worse and she shamed herself for thinking like that. "They're just missing," she tells herself over and over again. "You can find them. They're just missing." There was one name left on her list that she had considered. It was already late and she had been knocking on people's doors all afternoon. One door that she debated to knock on was Millie Bobby Brown's. It's been a year since she has seen her. The reason why detective Ryder skipped over the girl's name was because she figured that Millie ditched school today because of the anniversary and her birthday. Though she was still curious to know how Millie and her sister have been since the incident.

The sun had finally gone down after Winona parked her car outside of the apartment complex. She left her stuff in the car, not wanting to overwhelm the girl and involve her in this case if she answered the door. The woman with dark brown hair just stood outside of her car for a moment, looking up at the building and trying to remember which door was Millie's. She was reminded when she took her first step towards the apartments and started to make her way towards the door.

Noni had found it and studied the door and the window right beside it. The curtains were closed, but she could see that the lights were off. She wondered if the girls were sleeping before she knocked on the door. She needed to know if they were home. When no one had answered the door after that first knock, Winona knocked a second time. No answer. She gave up and went back to her car. Detective Ryder thought that maybe they were just sleeping, but just incase, she underlined Millie's name in her notes as a way to remind herself to figure out where Millie is. Winona also made a note to call the school in the morning and ask to see principal Harbour again.
