I woke up to knocking on my front door.

I pulled myself out of bed and to the door. I opened the door.

"Maggie!"

"Mom."

"Sorry love. I know it's early." She said setting her stuff down and I shut the door.

"So what brings you here?" I asked walking to the kitchen with her and started making coffee.

"I thought I would come stay with you for a bit. I heard Your dad hadn't been around lately. He thought since you and I hadn't seen each other in a while, that I should be the one to come stay with you for the time being.we can talk a little about future plans." She said.

"Uhm....ok. Here I'll help you take your stuff to the guest bedroom." I said and grabbed a few of her bags and she grabbed the remaining.

I walked to a bedroom at the beginning of the hall and mine was at the very end.

"I'll let you get settled. Let me know if you need anything. I'll be around." I said. She nodded and I went to my room.

I was reading when I got a text.

Calum: Hey Mags. Do you want to go to karaoke with me tonight?

Me: sure. Be here at 5?

Calum: sounds good.

It was 3. I got ready and straightened my hair. I put on a little make up. I slipped on my all white converse. My outfit was skinny jeans, an All Time Low shirt and a black faux leather jacket.

I went to my moms door that was half open and knocked.

"Come in." She said looking up.

"Hey. I hope it's ok. I'm going to karaoke with one of my friends." I said.

"Of course. Just text me what time you'll be home." She said. I smiled and nodded and walked downstairs.

I grabbed a granola bar and sat at the counter and went on Instagram.

There was a knock at the door so I threw away my granola bar wrapper and opened it.

"Hey mags ready?" Calum said and smiled. I nodded and yelled that I was leaving.

We walked to his car and got in.

"Your dad home?" Calum asked.

"Oh no. My mom is staying with me for a while." I explained. "She just got here today."

"Oh cool." He said. We listened to blink and ATL the rest of the way there.

When we got there Calum got out and ran to my side to get the door for me.

"Thanks." I said.

We walked in and got a table.

"Are you going to sing tonight? He asked

"I don't know." I said. A waiter came and took our drink orders.

"So do you still play?" he asked me.

"Yeah. Not as much though." I responded. The waiter brought our drinks. As a girl was finishing a song.

" Ok the next singer is singing an original song called heartbreak girl please welcome Calum Hood!" I looked at Calum surprised and he stood up and got his acoustic guitar and sat on a stool.

'You call me up,
