I sat in the 2nd out of 4 rows. Answering every question in my head.
The bell rang signaling the end of the school day and the start to the weekend. Everyone stood up and started filing out.
"Maggie hang back please." Mr. Corey said and we waiting for the remaining students to leave the room.
When they did he grabbed a paper off his desk.
"Am I in trouble?" I asked.
"Maggie you're one of my brightest students. I wanted to talk to you about this paper you wrote about music." He said.
"Umm ok." I said sitting down in one of the front desks.
"Maggie, I always expect amazing papers from you. And when I asked to write about a passion I didn't expect this paper out of you. You were so great about explaining it and why it's your passion and it is one of the best papers I have ever read in my entire life." He said.
"Thank you Mr. Corey." I said.
"Anyway I won't hold you back from your weekend. Go have fun. I just wanted to tell you I am very proud of you." He said.
"Thank you very much. Have a good weekend." I said and walked out.
I walked around the corner and to my locker where my Best friend Luke was waiting.
"Why'd Mr. Corey hold you back? Did he find out that you're bad ass and is giving you detention for the rest of the semester?" Luke said.
"Yes Luke. That's exactly what happened." I said sarcastically. "He just told me he was proud of me for writing a kick ass paper. " I said.
"Nerd" he responded.
"Ass" I retorted and shut my locker
"Fair enough now let's get out of this hell hole and go party!!" He said and we walked out to the parking lot to see Michael and Ashton waiting in Ashton's car.
"Hurry up!! We have to be at Calums in 5!" Michael said excitedly. luke and I hopped in the car and we were off to Calums house.
