Today was the big day, the Sugar Sand Festival on the beach. We woke up pretty early in order to get a good space. The kids were still asleep, so I held Sarah and Madison held Jason as we proceed towards the beach with Lauren and Ryan.
Luckily our hotel was close to the festival, so we didn't have much walking to do. There were already a bit of cars here and the traffic was starting to back up into the streets. Lauren had spread out a large beach mat on the sand for us to sit, so we set Jason and Sacha down first before we sat.
Ryan had the food and the large umbrella, so he set down the food in the shade so nothing would be spoilt by the time we were ready to eat. We enjoyed some family time while many of the people were still finding parking and sitting spaces along the beach.

We packed up and got into the rental that Rishidi's friend obtained for us. It comfortably sat all of us with space for three extra. Luckily there was that added space because if not, there would be no place to put the food and drinks. The chairs, umbrella, and clothes were in the back and we left pretty early because Rishidi said we needed to get a good space.
We drove a bit before Rishidi made a turnoff from the highway. As we arrived near our destination, there was a small traffic pileup as people were looking for a spot to park. We eventually grew tired of the wait do we parked at a distance, so we could leave without confusion.
We got out of the rental and took our things before Rishidi locked up. Then we were on our way to the beach to find a spot. We arrived at an okay time since there was still space on the beach to choose a spot to sit. We took a spot away from the actual water but was close enough to get a running dive into the waves.
The morning went by quite smoothly as we awaited the setting up of the artists. There was also a DJ and mic man for the competition. The video of the competition could also be seen from the gigantic screens, for anyone who wasn't close enough to view the artist's work.
By this time we got a bit hungry so we munched on some snacks. Rishidi, Josiah, Camsea, Sandra, and Kavita along with myself, were enjoying everything that was going on around us. I was especially happy that Camsea and Josiah were having a blast.
After our meal, the kids wanted to take a dip in the water, so Rishidi took them, seeing as he could swim better than myself if anything were to happen, God forbid. I was alone on the giant blanket so I layed back under the shade of the umbrella with my shades on.
Suddenly I opened my eyes, there I thought I saw a man that looked like Taylor, so I got up and looked at him walking away. He was built just like Taylor, but slimmer, he was holding a little boy's hand as they both walked toward the other side of the beach.
I looked at Rishidi with the kids and they seemed occupied so I got up and followed Taylor until I got close enough to him that I could call his name.
"Taylor, Taylor!" I called but he didn't even turn around. I tapped his shoulder to get his attention. When he spun around, I felt my heart drop. It's been approximately six years since I've seen him and he looked totally different except for his eyes. I hugged him as tears ran down my eyes, but he didn't even hug me back.
"Um, excuse madam, I think you have me mistaken for someone else."
"What do you mean? Isn't your name Taylor?"
"No miss, my name is Dylan"
"Dylan? Boy quit playing! Where have you been all this time?"
