Liz's Pov:
People crowded the streets cheering news cameras everywhere and being asked so many questions I couldn't even comprehend what was being asked until one woman got across to me "what's your name?" "I haven't gotten that far to be honest." "What made you and Robin come down and lend a helping hand? That is assuming that you are from Gotham." "I am. But I must get going I have to take la perte to Arkham Asylum.""Be back In a few. I say to Jason picking up the murderer with my super strength and super speeding him to Arkham Asylum making sure that the ride was uncomfortable and circling back. By now the crowd had died down as people headed in for the night leaving the lot of us in peace. I walk over to Jason "what do we do now?" I asked Jay "Celebrate!" Billy cut in. Mary went back and made sure Victor and Rosa were alright.
We went back to the penthouse to celebrate and Mary came back with an all clear for them to be there but the only downside was that she had to explain that a group of foster kids were superheroes we ordered a few pizzas saying that we never got a chance to eat the one we ordered earlier and that there was now 8 of us.
I changed out of my super suit and for once actually enjoyed myself. I took a bite of my pizza "the sweet flavor of greasy pizza how I've missed you." I said "I fully agree Alfred's cooking is good but my god it cannot compare to this 'cheap cheese bread with a side of grease' as Alfred would say." Jason replied. And after I finished my pizza head ou to the fire escape to check out the stars.
Freddy's Pov:
I don't get it she hasn't said anything about what I said to here before she left. It's confusing she's acting like it never even happened it's killing me. I searched the penthouse for her just to see her out on the fire escape. She sat underneath the moonlight headphones on and music turned up. I would be lying if I said that in this moment she looked anything less than a goddess, hair blowing behind her and face pointed to the sky, moonlight shining on her as she leaned against the fire escape. Why would she like a guy like me? I'm crippled annoying and frankly I'm a foster kids who lives miles away.I was about to go out there when I was stopped by Jason. "Listen I don't like you very much for kissing my little sister but it's obvious that you like her and she likes you so if you hurt her in any way I can and will kill you. I mean Batman has his no killing policy but I'm sure he will make and exception." He said "um alright." I say not really knowing the best way to respond. "Good you understand." Jason says leaving.
I open the window and took my place beside her. "This past week in Gotham At night I would talk to the moon as if it would get through to you on the other side, like you could hear it, and now you're here and I have no idea where to start." She said "and I know that if my dad was still alive he would tell me to follow my heart but the problem is my heart is here, it's here with you and I'm in Gotham but my mind tells me I have to move on. But like I've missed the morning light off the fire escape I've missed you Freddy Freeman, I miss you and your god awful jokes because I love you." "And I love you Liz." I replied.
"What will people say beyond this fire escape? Everyone who gets too close to me gets hurt and I can't risk losing you, that's why I left." "That's a risk we'll have to take. All that matters is that we're together." And this time she leaned in and kissed me. It wasn't rushed this time and the fireworks still flew and it was all perfect until we heard a squeal." We looked up to where it came from and saw everyone on the roof watching
Liz's Pov:
"Liz and Freddy sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G first comes love, pay attention, if they do it they better use protection!" Jason sang which caused Billy Mary and Pedro to laugh. "I don't get it!" Darla whined causing them to laugh more. "You know you're going to regret that right?" I say to Jason which made him stop laughing realizing what kind of mistake he just made. "Well bye!" I say as Freddy and I make our way back in through the window. The group came back through the front, back from the roof. I look at my phone to see a news update and click on it.Gotham City's Starlight Sparrow.
It was titled with a picture of me in my supersuit. Starlight Sparrow... Not too shabby.
