Darkness, and the cold surrounded me.
A metal box contained me.
The air was cool even though sweat beaded on my forehead.
The box started moving up.
I began to panic.
I screamed as loud as i could, but my throat was dry and the only thing answering me was the distance echo of my own calls.
I couldn't remember anything at all.
Not just what happened in the past few hours, days, or weeks; but my entire life was just a haze of lost images.
Me sledding down a hill, me riding a horse, me with a birthday cake and people singing.
Corn feilds, star filled night sky's, ocean waves, warm sunlight.
Faces were smudges and blurry, and nothing was exact.
Everything was gone.
I felt something wet on my face, and I touched my nose.
There was blood.
I wiped it away but it just kept dripping, I pulled up the neckline of my shirt and presses it onto my nose hopeingthe bleeding would stop.
Crawling into a corner, I hugged my knees to my chest and buried my head in between them.
And I cried.
Resting my hands on my side's, I felt something in my pocket, a paper.
I pulled it out.
It was wrinkled and a bit torn on the edges, and I tried to read it, but the light was too dim for me to see anything written.
I put it back in my pocket, right now it served no porpose due to the darkness, so I'll just read it when it's light out.
Wait.
How long have I been in here?
It feels like only minutes, but hours at the same time.
Probably about 30 minutes.
My eyes soon adjusted to the darkness, and I could see something around me.
Different shapes all piled on top of each other.
I reached out and touched them.
Wood, they were boxes.
Filled with what?
I could only guess.
Once in awhile, light would glint from bulbs in the walls, giving the room a bit more light for about 10 seconds.
I slowly became a bit more relaxed.
A small bump hit and I rose off the floor a bit as the box continued up.
Once I hit the floor again a small tap touched my chest.
I put my hand up and felt what it was, a necklace.
The sudden light came on and i could see what it was.
A small clear container with a blue liquid in it, a leather rope hung it around my neck.
What IS this? I thought.
Suddenly the white light went out and was replaced with a red beam.
The box hit the ceiling and I was tossed forward onto the hard floor.
I scrambled to a sitting position and looked up.
A high pitch medal screech rang out and a white strip of light appeared on the ceiling.
Doors.
Slowly they moved to the side exposing the harsh sunlight.
I covered my eyes with my hand.
Whispers and gasps came from voices above.
My eyes quickly got adjusted to the light and I could see who was stareing down at me.
At least four dozen boys were crowded around the hole in the ceiling.
All looking as petrified as I felt.
