Chapter 4 - Change of Heart

Astrid's POV:

"What the..." I say as I walk over to the gang who were with their dragons.

"Trust me, I'm as confused as you are." Tuff stated standing next to me. In front of me I see Fishlegs and Snotlout fighting over Ruffnut while she just sat on a rock in the middle of them with her head resting on one of her hands. "Apparently yesterday they both realised she was the only girl on Berk around our age left so now they are fighting over her." He laughed. What does he mean last girl on Berk. I'm still here.

"Please babe, you know you would choose me over him any day." Snotlout convinced as Ruffnut groaned turning the other way where she was immediately two inches away from Fishlegs.

"Here you are darling, I saved the last one for you." He said handing her a chicken leg. This is the only time I think Ruffnut has ever denied eating chicken.

"He only got you a chicken leg, I'll get you a whole chicken. Anything for you mi'lady." Snotlout smiled bowing. Suddenly I began yelling not even knowing what I was saying.

"Hey! That's Hiccups line!..." I yelled at him and then covered my mouth realising what I just said.

"What did you say?" Fishlegs asked. I began to blush. This was a bad conversation.

"I KNEW IT!!!!" Ruff screamed at the top of her lungs. "I knew you liked him!"

"What, no. He's such a fishbone!" I yelled back crossing my arms.

"Sure you think that." Tuff giggled.

"If you didn't then how would you have noticed that he calls you that?" Snotlout asked.

"And not to mention the fact you kiss him all the time." Fishlegs stated.

"Hey, hey, hey, hold up. I kissed him one time to say thanks for saving my life. That was it! And that was when we were fifteen so let it go!" I yelled.

"Cough...three times...cough." Tuffnut reminded me.

"Pft, when were the other times lier!" I yelled at him.

"Snoggletog, Thawfest, when he came out of his house after the dragon war..." Fishlegs added.

"Who's side are you on?!" I asked him sarcastically.

"Theirs." He laughed.

"That must be why she has the change of colour." Snotlout muttered gesturing to the new top.

"That has nothing to do with it." I respond.

"So you do like him?" Tuff giggled.

"I never said that!" I yell and at that moment Hiccup landed on Toothless beside us.

"Hey guys, what's all the commotion about?"

"Woah! What happened to you?" They all ask referring to his hair.

"Astrid cut it for me." He answered. Nice timing Hiccup....not. I face palmed myself.

"Hahaha! And there is our proof!" Snotlout laughed.

"Proof of what?" Hiccup asked.

"Nothing... Why don't you go the the great hall, I'll be there in just a minute." I persuade pushing him the other direction. When he was out of sight I pointed my axe to Snotlouts throat.

"You think it's funny Snotlout! You think it's easy trying to keep my reputation!" I yell at him.

"What that your fearless warrior Astrid Hofferson? More like in love Astrid Hofferson." Ruff laughed as I pointed my axe now to her.
