Astrid's POV:
--------------------
Wow, it is really cold today and really windy not to mention. And us vikings don't get cold easily. Even indoors there is frost on the tables. I know summer is coming to an end but this is ridiculous. I'm standing outside the forge waiting for Hiccup so we can practice. I knocked on the door and he said to give him a second to finish something. Whatever it is it better be good. Now I sit on this rock outside the window sharpening my axe.
"Astrid! Astrid, look!" Hiccup yelled from behind me surprising me a bit. He was wearing that weird apron thing he wears in the forge. He should really just get some armour of some kind.
"Wha- Hiccup!" I answered shocked as I turned around.
"I just finished it! Isn't it awesome?" He smiled, waving a sword around. Except the sword was on fire! If he is expecting me to fight him with a fire sword he's got another thing coming.
"Uhhhh..." I respond staring at it.
"I just--showed it to the dragons--and they loved it." He said while waving it around. "They really took it--like I new they would." He smiled still waving the sword around. I looked at the water barrel next to me. "Would you like one? Like, an axe, maybe? For you?" He asked me. I thought about it for a second and pictured all the things that could go wrong if I had a fire axe.
"No, that's...okay. I like having all my limbs. And I like you with yours." I said walking over to him and grabbing his hands from behind. "So let's just not..." I led him over to the barrel of water and dunked the sword he was still holding in it. "...for now." I smiled while he gave me a frown as steam rose out of the barrel.
"Thank you for summing that up." He answered sarcastically.
"Your welcome. Wait what's--" I began just to be thrown to the ground by him.
"Astrid look out!" He yelled as I fell to the ground with him on top of me as an explosion blew above. I stood up slowly waving the smoke away, coughing.
"What was that?" I asked him.
"Hehe, yeah. The sword is lite by sparks that are created the same way that zipplebacks make them. Because I had the sword covered, I thought I would add the zippleback gas on the end." He explained hoping I wouldn't punch him.
"And you just let the zippleback gas escape whenever it wants?!" I yelled, pointing to the sword that now disappeared somehow.
"I'm still working out the kinks." He giggled, still frightened of the wrath I could give him that will end him in a second.
"Where...did it go?" I asked, looking into the barrel to see it gone.
"Oh, it's still there." He stated as he tipped the barrel over and the water spilt onto the grass. He picked up a small metal cylinder. "This is it." He smiled holding it up.
"Uhhhh..." I muttered looking at it. Did I melt the entire blade by putting it in the water? Suddenly Hiccup pressed a button on the side that made the blade shoot out and light back on fire.
"See." He said, showing it to me. "I'm calling it inferno. Toothless muttered something that sounded kind of like that so now it's the official name." He stated, putting the sword away making it into a small cylinder again.
"Do you name everything after your dragons actions?" I asked crossing my arms.
"Um..."
"Never mind. Let's just go practice." I ordered as I began to walk away. I chucked him a sword that didn't flame. He caught it as he noticed it flying towards him. "And no more inferno." I laughed and continued walking.

Hiccup's POV:
--------------------
We were on our way to the cove when Toothless nudged me.
"Grraw." He growled.
"What? What is it?" I asked him. He turned his head to the side where I hear a strange noise. "Astrid. Do you hear that?" I asked her as I stopped walking.
"Hear what?" She asked and stopped to listen. I heard a muffled yell.
"Let's go check it out." I ordered as I began walking through the woods. The sound got louder and louder but still sounded muffled. We reached the hot springs. I saw two legs sticking out of the ground waving frantically.
"Snotlout?" Astrid wondered as she got a closer look. There buried, head under ground was Snotlout screaming help. How did he end up buried in the sand?
"Oh my gods." I complained sarcastically. "Hold on we'll get you out." I said grabbing one of his legs while Astrid grabbed the other.
"Three, two, one, pull!" Astrid counted as we both pulled him up but he was still stuck. I look to my left to see Hookfang sleeping next to a tree.
"Hookfang! Why aren't you helping your owner?!" I asked him and he looked over to me. He breathed a puff of smoke out his nostrils and curled up back to sleep.
"Talk about loyalty." Astrid said looking over to him.
"A little help here!" Snotlout wiggled.
"Toothless?" I asked him. Toothless grabbed his legs in his mouth and pulled him out.
"Hahahahahaha!!!!!" Astrid laughed historically. I joined in with her when I noticed what she was laughing at. Snotlout hung from Toothless's mouth with his arms crossed and a frown on his face. He had our racing paint all over his face in a flowery, girly pattern. He had giant eye lashes and a cute pink nose with lipstick. It was hilarious.
"Stop laughing! I've been stuck in the sand for hours I think I deserve a little sympathy." he complained as Toothless put him down.
"Haha... Sorry--it's just so funny!" Astrid laughed.
"How did you get stuck in the sand anyway?" I giggled.
"Ruffnut tried to burry me alive." He mumbled.
"Hahahahahaha!!!!" Astrid cracked up again, trying to gasp for air.
"That's what you get for hitting on her." I told him.
"Pft. What do you know?" He complained. "Don't answer that." He corrected.
"Okay--okay. I can breath again." Astrid breathed heavily as she looked back to Snotlout. The second she laid eyes on him though she burst back into a laughing fit. "Hahaha! I'm sorry. I almost feel sorry for you." She laughed.
"Haha, very--" he bagan sarcastically until a pile of dragon dung landed on him from Hookfang above. The green glowing stuff slid off his head while he just stood there with a frown and fists.
"Hahaha! No I don't haha!" Astrid finished as I joined in laughing again.
"Hookfang! You get down here right now!" He yelled at his Monstrous Nighmare above. "Hookfang!" He shouted again. I pulled out my sword and set it aflame. Instantly the dragon came gliding down to sit next to me, looking at it. "Hey! How come he listens to you? Not to mention a sword?!" Snotlout complained.
"Told you it was a good sword." I said to Astrid.
"Snotlout you reek!" She stated holding her nose.
"Well it's the boys bath day tomorrow so you'll just have to wait." He responded shaking the dung off his head.
"Why wait until tomorrow when we are already here?" Astrid laughed and pushed him into the hot spring. He fell in and rose back to the surface to give her an evil glare while she continued laughing.
