Aisha set food next to Bloom on the table on the chair.

"Thanks," states Bloom. "But I'm not hungry."

She pushes Sky's blond hair away from his face. She looks into those special merry bright sky-blue eyes. We could hear him breathing. Aisha, Musa and I had joined Bloom in the infirmary. Frieda was also there.

"I'm sure he'll be okay Bloom," Frieda spoke. "Sky has been through worse than this."

Bloom did not answer tears in her eyes.

"I love him," states Bloom. "I found it out last year. But by then it was too late for him to tell me that he loved me back."

She caresses his chin gently passionately lovingly. Musa strums her guitar in a lighter tune than when she sang a Sky Without Moving Stars last year.

"Gonna lay my burden down," sang Bloom. "Lay my body in the ground. Cold clay against my skin, but I don't care at all."

We didn't stop her we let her sing.
"Can't seem to find my piece of mind,
So with the Earth I'll lay entwined
Six feet underground
My feet are warm and dry."

She continues on, "When I get to the other side, I'll put your picture way up high!
But I'm coming back to you,
It's just too far!"

She pauses momentarily as Musa switches keys on her guitar.

"If I was cast off on the sea," Bloom sings slowly increasing her volume. "Would you come look for me?
Or would you let me sink
Beneath the waves so blue?"

"What if I had learned to fly?" Bloom questions in song now standing up walking over to the window and gazing over the canopy of forest visible from the Infirmary. "Fly all night till day drew nigh!
Touch upon a branch and
Scan the crowd for you!"

She turns around leans against the wall herself and sings onward. "When I touch my feet on the land, I'll kiss your lips and take you in!
But you know I'm not here to stay!
It's just too far!"

She sat down at Sky's bedside again.

"Darling," She sang quietly. "Can't you hear me cry?  My bones are broke; my tongue is tied!
The moon is swaying back and forth
Against the navy sky....
Is all I can see...
My body is trembling on my knees
Just have a little mercy on me
Run away and hide...."

She uses her healing magic over Sky like she did the first time. She continued to sing as the white light entered Sky's body.

"When I sleep, the angels sing," She continues on. "But I cannot hear a thing!
Eyes closed
Dreaming of better days gone by.

When I wake, the trumpets play
And I'm standing at the gates
Fall down in joy!
I know my race has just been won.

Bloom's tears built up here as she quietly finished the song. "When I was young, My Mamma would say
"'Well life is hard, but that's O. K.
If you can make it through the day!
It's not that far!
No, it's not that far!"

Bloom is shocked by what she just sang. Her face full of tears.

"Bloom," said Frieda. "I think Mariam's lullaby just came out of your mouth."
