Raven spent most of her day at the studio. She looked up at the clock and saw it was almost ten. She got so caught up there that she forgot she told Tiana that they were going out later. She high tailed it to her car. When she made it home she went straight for the shower to wash off the sweat from her day's activity. It had been awhile since she's been out clubbing; she flipped through her closet trying to find something to wear. Her eyes settled on the black dress in the back of her closet.
She pulled it out and examined it. "I can't believe I've never worn this." It was a form fitting dress with long sleeves that had the sides cut out. She pulled off the price tag and quickly got dressed. By the time she flattened out her wavy locks and applied her eyeliner, mascara and red lipstick, it was eleven o'clock. She threw on her black Choca Louboutins, and transferred her small essentials into a red clutch. The next move was to grab her keys and head out the door.
Raven arrived at Greenhouse almost an hour later than she said she would. Tiana stood at the door waiting for her, with a 'what the hell took so long' expression on her face. She had connections at all the hot spots so they always got in without any problems. The inside was lit up with a bunch of different exotic colors. It wasn't overly crowded, and the DJ was live. Everyone looked like they were having a good time and she was planning on doing the same.
Raven took Tiana by the hand leading her to the dance floor. "Come on T, let's dance."
Tiana shook her head and laughed. "Okay, but I'm leaving you for the first cutie that approaches me."
The two of them hit the dance floor. They danced through four songs straight, nothing slutty but enough to make someone stop and stare. It wasn't long before they started getting attention from the male persuasion. Tiana got that tap on the shoulder that she was looking for and went off to dance with some gorgeous Puerto Rican guy. Raven didn't mind, hell she would've done the same thing, no one goes to the club to dance with their girls all night. She just kept on dancing all by her lonesome; that was until someone approached her from behind and began dancing with her. She didn't bother turning around to see who it was, the song would be over soon anyway, but not soon enough for her. Whomever this mystery man was, his cologne was so strong that it was beginning to burn her nose, not to mention her feet was starting to get tired.
The song ended, this was her chance to politely make her escape. She turned around to get a look at the guy, and her first instincts were to retreat. The guy had tattoos all over his face and when he smiled he flashed a mouth full of gold teeth. "You have got to be joking." Raven mumbled under breath.
Raven tried to walk away but he grabbed her wrist. "Hey baby girl I know you not gonna just leave after one dance."
"Yeah my feet are killing me." She replied half heartedly.
"Can I buy you a drink?" he asked. Every time he smiled she wanted to cringe.
"Sorry, I don't drink." Raven scanned the crowd looking for Tiana for some back up. This one looked like he was the persistent type.
"So what's your name?" He asked. He was definitely persistent. He had a rebuttal for everything she threw at him.
"Tiffany." She called out the first name that popped into her head.
The guy nodded rubbing his chin, while making sure he showed off his diamond incrusted watch. "Yeah you like a Tiffany."
Raven sighed, "Look thanks for the dance, but I see my boyfriend, so I gotta go."
"Well can I get your number?"
This guy was irritating her to no end. She was trying to be polite and let him down easy, but he clearly wasn't getting the hint, sometimes you just have to take the direct approach with people. "Sure, its 212 – 0 chance in hell. Did you get all that?" She asked with an attitude. After she said her final words she excused herself from the dance floor.
"Damn baby, it's like that?" He yelled in her direction. Raven didn't bother responding, she just kept on walking. "That's cool; you keep on running, because I like a chase."
