"He has sex with women for a living. He's a terrible idea for a boyfriend and I can't believe you said yes to this," Nick spat.

"If you don't shut up before he gets here I will kick you out of my house," Hannah warned.

"You can't kick me out if Rhia wants me here," Nick said confidently.

He deflated when I said, "She can. I wouldn't win that fight."

Hannah had spent the day cleaning and now she was busy arranging snacks on the counter to look like they didn't have much thought put into them. I could tell she was nervous, and I was too, but for different reasons.

Nick had made it clear he didn't approve of their lifestyles and he wasn't shy about his opinions. I was just worried he was going to talk himself into a fight. The boys were all fit and muscular, and Nick went to the gym once a week if he felt like it.

"Did I hear a knock at the door?" I asked.

Hannah adjusted her dress and hair, "It's still early, they shouldn't even be here yet, I'm not ready."

"I'm fucking with you. You need to calm down," I laughed.

"What could be left to do?" Nick said, annoyance seeping from his words.

He wasn't happy to wait for anything and his impatience continued to get worse the longer the boys didn't show up, despite it still being earlier than when we told them to get here. He was just agitated because he preferred to spend the night alone with me rather than a bunch of strangers.

A knock did sound and I figured I should answer the door to relieve some of the stress Hannah was under. I opened the door to three very large men waiting before me.

"Hey Peaches," Vince smiled, handing me a bottle of alcohol, "I figured Hannah could use a drink."

I sighed, "She could use a few."

I welcomed them in and found Nick standing and waiting for them to greet him. Vince was the first to extend his hand to shake and Nick had to look up at him slightly to try to keep eye contact. Hannah entered shortly after, not realizing the boys had arrived.

Hannah and Julian immediately hit it off and I could see the chemistry building between them. Watching the way Hannah looked at him made me lovesick and I looked at my hand which was in Nick's, not seeing any heat between us.

Julian led Hannah to the couch and I followed with Nick tagging along behind me. With Hannah sitting next to Julian and Nick next to me there wasn't any room for anyone else. Hannah grabbed an extra chair for Kaleb, which left Vince without a seat.

"I have an idea," Julian said.

He grabbed Hannah and placed her on his lap, conveniently freeing up the space next to me. I shuffled closer to Nick because Vince was a fairly large guy and he would need some room. I also didn't want to be this close to him.

The couch dipped under his weight and I felt his thigh brush against mine. He was a lot warmer than I was, and I could tell it was going to be a long night. I felt Nick put a hand on my thigh to try to claim me as his in front of Vince, which was understandable, but I hated it.

"I'm gonna grab a blanket, anyone else want one?" I asked.

"Blanket?" Vince asked.

"She has to have one when she's sitting on the couch. I don't know why," Hannah explained.

"It's more comfortable. Stop judging me," I pouted before leaving to grab my blanket.

When I returned it was like there was even less space on the couch. I sandwiched myself between Nick and Vince, holding my breath to make it into the space. Nick had attempted to pull me onto his lap but I avoided it. With the blanket over my legs, Nick didn't feel the need to touch me anymore.
