"No! We have places to be!" Hannah slammed her fist on my door when she heard me giggling.

I groaned and rolled off David, forcing myself to get dressed and deal with Hannah.

"Hey babe, we're doing a movie back at the boy's house. I'm grabbing some snacks and then headed back. You coming?" Hannah asked.

"David, you up for any more chaos today?" I yelled.

He appeared behind me moment later, placing a kiss to my head, "I have work early tomorrow so I actually think I'm done for now."

I kissed him goodbye and Hannah started chanting something vulgar so David said he'd call.

"So what are we watching?" I asked.

"No idea. The guys are picking so probably some action movie. Should I bring the good chocolate?"

"Are you crazy? No."

I helped her carry the snacks out to the car and she drove us to their place. We had all settled on the couch when I noticed someone was missing.

"Where's Vince?" I asked.

"No clue," Kaleb moved a bowl in my direction, "Popcorn?"

I got up to go find Vince, ignoring Kaleb's offer. I opened a few doors before finding Vince behind one of them. He was sprawled out lying face down on his bed, looking at something on his phone.

"Hey, we're ready if you want to come out," I called out to him.

He looked up from his phone and scanned over me, "I'm good."

"You're not coming?"

He shook his head.

"Why not?"

"I don't feel like it Rhia."

His voice seemed so tired, so empty. I found myself crossing the room to sit on his bed and rub circles in his back. I heard him sigh, staying still as I touched him.

"Can I ask why you don't like being called Enzo?" I asked so quietly I wasn't sure if Vince heard.

"My dad used to call me that."

His voice was muffled by the pillows, but I could hear enough to know what was said. I played with strands of his hair. I knew he needed to feel comforted because I'd never seen him so exhausted before.

"Please don't," Vince said, turning to remove my hand from his hair.

I folded my hands in my lap and focused on my socks to give Vince the space he asked for. He was breathing, but silent. I decided I would wait patiently even if he hated it.

"I have feelings for you and I can't pretend they don't exist," Vince broke the silence.

"Okay."

"And I know it may not be fair to you," Vince seemed to register I hadn't said what he expected me to, "Wait, okay?"

"Take me on a date."

Vince looked at me like I had just spoken another language.

"But, David?"

"It's going to be a rough date if you keep talking about another man, Vince."

"I'm serious Rhia."

I sighed, looking over at Vince, "I don't know what I'm doing yet. I want to see if things can work between us."

Green eyes looked up at me in such a way that I felt butterflies in my stomach.
