Everyone was pulled into the waiting room so they could clean the blood off the floor. I dropped into one of the seats and rest my elbows on my knees, putting my head in my hands. Hannah paced back and forth in front of me.

It was hard to ignore Kaleb chewing on the collar of his shirt. I had to reach over to him and pull it out of his mouth before I went insane. He put his hand on my back and I returned to my previous position.

"David Moore?"

David met the doctor and I strained my ears to hear what was said. David called Hannah over to answer some questions that I was sure he couldn't. Hannah rubbed her arms for comfort, but I could see it wasn't helping.

I turned in my seat to talk to Raphael, "Hey, can you do me a favor?"

"What do you need honey?"

"Can you go to Rhia's house and get her ghost blanket? She loves it and," I paused, "And I can't leave."

Raphael nodded and did as I asked. I found my leg bouncing and I tried to stop but I couldn't. I'd run my fingers through my hair so many times I was sure I was going to start pulling it out if they didn't return with any news soon.

"What am I going to do if she doesn't," Hannah's voice wavered.

"She's going to be fine. It's a good thing when the doctors don't come out to talk to you," David said, trying his best to comfort someone who couldn't be comforted.

Another half hour passed before a doctor came back. They pulled David aside and talked quietly. The doctor left and David turned to address the group.

"The doctors have located the bleeding and they're patching it now. This is a good thing."

Two people looking frantic came over to our group and went specifically for Hannah. Hannah suddenly looked angry, and I felt myself getting ready to intervene if necessary. I wasn't there when I was needed last time, but I was here now.

"Where's Rhiannon?" The woman asked.

"How did you know we were here?" Hannah looked skeptical.

"The news mentioned your address and we checked to see what hospital was closest. Now, where is she?"

Hannah clenched her fists at her sides, "You needed to hear our address on the news to know where we lived. Otherwise, you wouldn't know. There's a reason for that."

David intervened before I could, "Hey, Hannah, why don't you take a seat."

Hannah spun around so quickly her hair flew into her face, "You may be her fiancé for the day, but if you think for a second she still would've picked you if I was there, you're wrong."

Fiancé. He was her fiancé? Since when? We broke up two days ago. Suddenly, I was the one that was angry.

"I'm guessing you're Mr. and Mrs. Daniels." David put his hand out to shake, ignoring Hannah's outburst.

Hannah dropped in the seat next to me and started mumbling under her breath, "He's trying to impress them for nothing. Rhia doesn't want anything to do with them. She would be happier if she never knew they were here."

David barely knew Rhia, it was easy enough to see that when he ignored the one person that knew her best. He went over Hannah's head and asked Rhia's parents to sit with us.
