Bad ideas? I was full of them. Vince convinced me to come to one of his video shoots and I demanded that Hannah come with me because I wasn't sure I could do it alone. I even went as far as making her hold my hand as we went in together.

A woman came up to us and figured we were with Vince, so she brought us to his changing room. Three knocks and it was opened by Vince wearing an outfit that didn't completely seem like him. I had only really seen him wearing clothes that looked comfortable, and now he was definitely styled this way.

"Hey, I'm going to be a little all over the place today, so feel free to move around and stuff," Vince said.

He went back to look over a script, which I didn't think existed for the porn industry, but I was definitely going to learn a lot today. I'd never even seen Vince naked, and now I was going to watch him fuck some stranger. This was way beyond my comfort zone.

I walked around his changing room and touched a few things that looked mildly interesting as he ignored my presence. He didn't seem like himself, more stressed maybe. I had no idea why he was on edge and it seemed like a good idea to just stay out of the way.

The same woman that brought us here informed Vince it was showtime and he took Hannah and I by the hands and pulled us along. The woman pulled us up some chairs and Vince sat us down so he could get into the scene. I was pushed a little harshly into the seat, but he was stressed, so I ignored it.

"Julian is cool with you being here?" I asked Hannah.

"Yeah. This is what they do for work and it's not like he can be mad I'm learning what they do," Hannah laughed.

"Why don't you watch him?"

"Oh I couldn't. Watching him with someone else would drive me insane. I know that I can't change what he does, but I don't want to have to think about it if I don't have to."

I felt a rock settle in my stomach. I hadn't thought that much about this before doing it. I think I liked Vince, and I knew I couldn't like him after watching him fuck another woman. It wasn't that I didn't support him or the work he did, it was that I didn't think I could process it.

The shoot began and I watched Vince become another person when the cameras started rolling. He was what every woman wanted, confident, hot as all hell, and absolutely unattainable. His perfect smile didn't seem real, but what did I know? This was his job, and I was pretty sure he liked it.

They had staged this shoot as if they were in a library, and Vince was a brilliant guy asking the librarian where a book was. I thought the librarian was hot and I figured they were about to start ripping clothes off each other, but she left after showing him where to go.

Apparently a big theme in his videos was going for the unexpected woman. Instead of the librarian, he started talking to a woman sitting at a table reading some large book. Large glasses sat on her nose and she adjusted them as she looked up at him. The messy bun in her hair seemed very natural, and I was impressed that these female porn stars actually looked like real women.

Looking at her though, I looked like the unexpected woman. I touched my own glasses and felt my chest sink. I might've been jealous of the woman sitting before me, but there was no reason I should've been. In that moment, I decided that I would be nothing more than a supportive friend for Vince.

I missed some part in the story with my thinking, because now Vince had his lips locked with this woman's. It felt rude to stare at them if they weren't behind a screen of some kind, and I kept picking up my phone to check it as if that would help.

Vince had placed the girl down on the table and a bunch of people were calling cut and rearranging the set. Someone adjusted a light and I lifted my hand to cover my eyes from how bright it was. This work seemed awful now that I was backstage. I wasn't sure how he could keep doing it.
