When Skyler got close to the FCI’s headquarters, she saw a black helicopter flying towards them. It’s still dark and murky out, dead trees below them as they neared FCI. She knows who flies the black helicopter: the androids. The robots that fought Experiment 666 before it escaped.

She landed on the ground, dropping Experiment 666 to the ground, still passed out. The blue and silver androids looked at her with their usual blank stare.

“Well?” said Skyler, “This is what you wanted. Now go back to Erebus and give him back his weapon!”

The androids looked at her with those red mechanical eyes. They scanned her, and the next thing they said shocked Skyler:

“Unauthorized subject. Leave this territory at once!”

“Unauthorized subject?” repeated Skyler, “Do you have a screw lose or something?! I am authorized to be in this territory! Heck, I’m Erebus’s―”

“Unauthorized subject. Leave this territory at once!”

Their hands morphed into blasters, and waves of electricity blasted at Skyler. She gasped and morphed on instinct. The robots looked around, trying to scan for her. All they see is Lucian’s passed out body on the ground as they scanned.

That’s when the sound of fluttering wings filled the area, and one of the robots just started to spaz out and shut down. Then another, and then another. All in a blink of an eye. Half of the androids now dead, one android spotted something flying in the air: a hummingbird, one in a mix of blue purple and green. The android kept trying to shoot it but the bird is just too fast, and it started to circle around the robot. It kept spiraling, until finally the robot itself couldn’t take it anymore and exploded.

But Skyler also couldn’t keep this up. She morphed back into human form, no longer the hummingbird.

They still kept attacking. Skyler kept dodging. She soon realized she couldn’t stay here long. She’ll have to take the helicopter and make a break for it. Yet her eyes darted to Experiment 666. The weapon’s voice rang in the back of her mind:

“You can’t trust the FCI Skyler. They’ll just betray you and turn you as cold as a machine.”

The words hurt. It stung. Yet what if it’s the truth?

The androids kept circling around them. Well, this is stupid.

She grabbed Experiment 666 and ran in a purple and black blur towards the helicopter. She got in, strapped Experiment 666 in the back of the seat, and buckled in herself. She looked at the controls and grabbed onto the steering wheel. The helicopter started, the blades whirling above her. They took off, and Skyler could hear the androids shouting behind them:

      “Must destroy hybrids!”

Lucian woke up to the feel of cold water on his face. He coughed, and his vision blurred as he opened his eyes. Once they focused, he saw Skyler. Immediately Lucian tried to get up to fight, but his body is too weak. Skyler rolled his eyes, “Calm down, will you?”

     “Where are we?” asked Lucian.

“Just some abandoned barn,” said Skyler, “I flew us here on the helicopter for like a mile. The androids shot us and we went crashing down. I just had enough time to get you unbuckled and fly us out of there before the chopper exploded.”

“So you actually saved my life?” said Lucian, “The girl who hates me?”

Skyler rolled her eyes, “Just eat. I found an apple tree near here.”

She motioned to the basket on a pile of hay, four red apples in it. Lucian took the time to take his surroundings in.

Sure enough, they are in an empty barn. Empty stables are along the side of the walls, hay everywhere on the floor. It’s made of wood, and it’s rundown. Lucian noticed a few cobwebs in the ceiling corners, and the floor at his feet is oak wood. The only light is the candle lit on the wall.

“Well?” asked Skyler, “You gonna eat or not?”

Lucian glared, silent. Just because she saved his hide, doesn’t mean he can trust her. This is the same chick that just electrocuted him on the spot! She even called Lucian a freak.

Skyler shrugged, “Fine, more for me.” She took an apple and bit into it. Lucian waited for her to double over due to the poison she might have injected inside the apple. Instead, she just kept on chewing. Lucian decided it was okay and finally picked up an apple and ate it.

“You know this doesn’t mean anything,” warned Skyler, “I will take you back.”

“Seriously, you’re still blind?” Lucian said. Jeez, why are girls so bad at seeing the truth? “Did you miss the fact that they’re selling me off as a doomsday weapon? Not to mention they’ll do the same to you!”

     “No they won’t,” snapped Skyler.

“Why wouldn’t they? Look at you! You’re just like the other broken hybrids they kept trapped in there! You got super speed and you can turn into a hummingbird! How are you any different from the rest of us freaks?”

“That information is classified,” growled Skyler, “All you need to know is that you will get back to FCI, Experiment 666!”

That made Lucian mad, “I have a name you know! It’s Lucian!”

“The FCI named you Experiment 666, so that’s what you’ll be called!” screamed Skyler, “Now, will I be able to take you quietly, or will I have to take you there by force?”

Lucian growled, his hands glowing with heat of the hellfire about to form on his hands. “What do you think?” he glared. Skyler grinned, itching for a fight, “Alright then. You leave me no choice, Experiment 666.”

That set him off. Lucian lunged at her, but Skyler is quick. She dodged, and Lucian swung his foot to kick her in the stomach. With lightning speed she blocked the kick with her wrist. Skyler grabbed his ankle and flipped him, causing Lucian to fall on his back. Just as Skyler was about to shoot him with her Lightning Blaster, Lucian fazed through the floor, disappearing from sight. Skyler glared and looked at her surroundings, trying to spot him.

Suddenly Lucian came in out of nowhere and attacked her, kicking her in the chest. She was sent flying against the wall, and Lucian ran over to pin her against it.

“What’s wrong with you?!” he growled, “Do you realize what you can have at The Hybrid Organization? What knowledge you can use to control your abilities?”

“Yes,” grinned Skyler, Lucian’s hand on her throat, “but it’s something I already have.”

With Skyler’s right hand, small but delicate sharp claws appeared in replace of her nails. Faster than Lucian could blink, she clawed at Lucian’s right cheek. He yelled in pain as three lines of blood appeared, dripping down his face. Lucian staggered back, and just when Skyler was about to knock him out, Lucian’s eyes turned wild as he screeched, sounding like multiple banshees at once. Skyler covered her ears. The whole barn rattled, and Skyler got blasted back from the force. She crashed through the wall and the barn and landed on the grass on her side. When she looked up, the barn went tumbling down into pieces, right on top of Lucian.

Well, that did it, thought Skyler. She started to go up to dig the Experiment out, but when she got up, her heart nearly stopped.

The androids came back, about fifteen of them. They all pointed their hand-morphed Electric blasters at her.

“Must destroy,” they all said in unison, in their recorded like voice. Their blasters charged as Skyler stepped back, warned out from her fight with Experiment 666.

Then the blasters fired and the electricity went flying toward her.
