Professor Pearce sat in his comfy fake leathered chair as he went through some papers in his office. In the inside, it looks like a medium size cabin. His floor is carpeted, double wooden doors leading outside in the front. Professor Pearce sat behind a big desk and his computer, with a stack of papers and a couple of books scattered on it, a mini statue of a gryphon on one corner and a picture of Jay as a little kid next to it. A window is on one side, looking to the outside. In the back is a bathroom and Jay’s and Professor Pearce’s bedrooms. In front of the desk in the office is a sofa and two lounge chairs.

His skin tingled suddenly, and before he knew it a flash of purple light few through his office, rattling the bookshelves and causing papers to fly everywhere. The light disappeared, but that didn’t make Professor Pearce less nervous. He went to his desk drawer and opened it, revealing a necklace with a light blue crystal, looking almost like ice. Pearce picked it up and held it by the chain. Dark mist clouded in the inside of the crystal, no longer glowing blue.

     “No,” mumbled Professor Pearce.

He put the crystal away and walked outside. Professor Pearce then changed into a Gryphon ― half lion, half eagle. His lion fur is golden, his eagle feathers brown with a hint of silver. His talons and beak are a yellow-orange color. Professor Pearce flew to the Main Building and through the window of the attic/armory. He changed back once he landed.

Professor Pearce looked around the Armory. All the weapons are still here. All the armor are still . . .

He looked to an empty spot on the wall. One spot on the wall is empty, which means someone took it. But who would―”

Professor Pearce sighed in frustration, “Jayson!” He yelled, knowing that he wouldn’t come being out of earshot. A few birds got spooked from outside, and Professor Pearce went out of the room to start looking for his son Jay.

Jay and Lucian walked around in the Commons Area, Lucian looking around at the other Hybrids as they passed by.

“So, ready for your big battle Lucian?” asked Jay.

“I still don’t know if it’s a good idea for me to battle,” said Lucian nervously. “I mean, my powers are hard to control.”

“You’ll be fine,” said Jay, “I know you are pretty strong.”

“And yet I still got captured by the FCI, and got knocked out by freaking Skyler,” grumbled Lucian.

Jay blinked in confusion, “Wait, I thought the androids―”

“Jayson Alexander Pearce!” a voice barked behind him. Jay flinched, closing his eyes as he silently groaned. Lucian tried hard not to laugh, “You’re middle name is Alexander?”

“Shut it Lucian,” grumbled Jay. He turned to face his father. He didn’t look happy when Jay looked at him.

“Dad,” said Jay, grinning nervously, “What’s up?”

“A very important piece of armor is missing,” said Professor Pearce, crossing his arms, “Do you two know what happened to it?”

“Um . . .,” Jay and Lucian glanced at each other. Jay knew this was a bad idea. But nooo, Lucian had to go with the freaking cursed armor. Now, Jay is probably going to be grounded and can’t use his powers. Or worse ― he will have to sleep with Logan.

“Which type of armor do you mean?” asked Jay. “There are tons of armor, so you will have to be specific―”

“I am talking about the armor,” said Professor Pearce, “The one made out of iron, covered in flame designs and spikes on the helmet and boots?”
