The more Skyler stayed here, the more she wanted to leave. They had just finished the tour.
“So, what do you think about the Organization Sky?” asked Logan as he and Skyler walked to the Café.
“It’s Skyler,” she corrected.
“Sorry,” said Logan, “Guess you’re not much for nicknames.” Skyler shrugged. “So I’m guessing you guys hid yourself from the FCI and the world?”
Logan sighed, “We got no choice. The FCI is using our kind as weapons and the mortals will go nuts and shoot first and ask questions never. It’s disgusting, how they treat us like freaks.” Skyler frowned. Huh. That’s not what Erebus said.
She shut those thoughts down. Stop being stupid, Skyler thought.
“Come on, let’s go eat,” said Logan, “I’m starving.”
The two Hybrids went to the Main Building and went inside. Skyler passed classes and training rooms, until finally the Café. It’s like a big cafeteria, with tons of round tables. She saw Experiment 666 talking to Cavian and Jay, along with some little blonde girl. Skyler noticed that there’s hybrids who are adult age, like twenties or thirties. And some who are younger, like seven to eighteen. A crystal chandelier is hanging in the center of the ceiling.
When Lucian saw Skyler, he stopped talking as he watched her walk with Logan.
“What is it?” asked Jay. Lucian blinked, “Nothing. Who is that guy with Skyler?”
Jay looked at where Lucian was watching and smirked, “Oh him? That’s Logan Thunder. He’s . . . well, yeah.”
Cavian laughed, “Nice description.”
“Well I can’t say anything bad in front of the kid,” said Jay.
“Hey!” protested Bonny, “I’m seven years old!” Jay looked at her, “Yeah, and your point is?” Bonny blew a raspberry at him. She then ate her carrot.
“So I’m guessing Logan is a jerk here?” asked Lucian.
“Pretty much,” said Cavian, “I’m surprised he even agreed to go on a rescue mission with me to save you and your friend. He flirts with every girl he sees. I swear, Logan is such a―”
Cavian was caught off when Jay looked over and said, “Hey Mac!”
A girl the same age as Jay came over. She looks like an athlete, with blonde hair in a ponytail and blue eyes. Mac looks just about the same age as Jay.
“Who’s this?” she asked, gesturing to Lucian. The attention made it slightly uncomfortable. “This is Lucian,” said Jay, “Lucian, I like you to meet Mikayla Winfield.”
“Hi,” said Mikayla, “What class are you?”
Lucian blinked, “Sorry?”
“Oh right,” said Jay, “I guess I didn’t explain the classes very well. Here.”
Jay got out a pen and a small notebook. He wrote some stuff down. “There’s three classes,” said Jay, “The first class is Basic.”
He drew a small symbol on the left side of the paper: a paw print with claw marks.
“That’s my Class!” grinned Bonny. Jay laughed, “Yep. The Basic Class is when someone is half everyday animal, such as bunnies―” he glanced at Bonny, who kept swinging her feet, “―or foxes.” Jay glanced at Cavian, who was grinning.
