Today I don't feel well, so I told my grandma that I wasn't going to school today, when she asked me what I had, I told her that "I felt sick", I mean, mentally and emotionally ill. But she doesn't understand that, she doesn't know what it feels like.

It's 2:40 PM, Valerie must have arrived at her house, tomorrow it's Christmas and I'd like to spend it with her, so I decide to send her a message:

Valerie

Hey Valerie 2:41 PM ✔✔

Skyler! Why you didn't go to school? 2:43 PM

I'm sick 2:43 PM✔✔

Oh, I hope you get better :) 2:45 PM

Thanks 2:46 PM✔✔

A boy named Dylan was asking for you today 2:46 PM

Really? 2:48 PM✔✔

Yep. Who is he? you haven't mentioned it to me before 2:49 PM

He's just a friend 2:50 PM✔✔

Of course it is ☺ 2:51 PM

It's true 2:53PM✔✔

I never said it was a lie 2:54 PM

We talked another day, bye 2:55 PM✔✔

I finish the conversation with her and I go to the bathroom to take a bath and brush my teeth. When I finish I put on clothes, only this time I wear a sleeveless shirt, I keep looking at myself in the mirror.

What do I see when I see myself in the mirror?

I see a girl who has lost the most important people in her life.

A girl who sees only her faults.

A girl who self-injures.

A girl without hope, without life.

Then I leave the room, while I go down the stairs I listen to my grandparents talking, so I stop to know what they are talking about.

- She worries me; she doesn't even talk to us.

-You have to give her time, maybe...

-No, Jared. She is hurting herself and we are not doing anything. Do you know what will happen if we don't help her on time?

-Odille...

-She is going to leave us, and we won't see her again.

-Odille, I think it's time to tell her, she deserves to know.

Tell me? Tell me what? What are they hiding from me?

-She isn't well, if we tell her now, she will collapse completely.

I go down the stairs and go to the kitchen where they are talking.

-What are you hiding from me? - I say when I enter the kitchen.

-You were listening? -my grandma says surprised by the question.

-Answer my question.

-Now isn't the time, Skyler.

- Stop lying to me, what are you hiding? - I answer annoyed.

-Skyler...

-Tell me!

-Odille, it's time- says my grandfather.

My grandma is thinking for a few seconds what she is going to say and sighs.
