"Kaleigh Tompson?" A lady with blond hair and red lipstick calls out my name.
"That's me." I say and walk over to her.
"Hello! So, I see that this is your first time at trying out for cheer?" She asks giving me a smile.
I nod. "Yep!"
"Alright. So, I'm guessing you don't know any cheers?"
"Not really, sorry."
"That's okay! Let's just see if you can do the basic moves. Cartwheel?"
I take a few steps back and do a couple cartwheels for her. Since I'd been in gymnastics for about four years I still could do a lot of this stuff.
"Very good! How about a round off?" She smiles.
I move back again and do a couple of those too.
"You're wonderful! How about you show me a kick and a jump?"
Yes. This is what I've been waiting for. I kick my leg up and grab my foot over my head. Then, I jump and spread my legs.
Niall would be proud! I smile and look at the lady, who's jaw was dropped.
"That's amazing! You say this is your first year?" She asks anxiously.
"Yeah. But I was in gymnastics for a while."
"Well, you're amazing! It's a great advantage for you to be so flexable! Congratulations, Kaleigh. You've made the team!" She smiles with her red lips and pulls me into a hug.
"Thank you! By the way, you can call me Kay." I awkardly hug back.
"And you may call me Andrea. Coach Andrea." She pulls back and smiles.
I nod and grab my bag for volley ball try outs.
Suddenly, my phone starts to ring in my bag and I shuffle stuff around to find it.
Louis. Of course.
"Hello?" I answer, walking into the other gym.
"Did you make the team?" He asks quickly.
"Yeah. I'm on my way to volley ball try outs now." I look for the green doors to our locker room.
"Guys! She made the team!" He screams at the boys. "That's so great, Kay!"
"Yeah, great for you." I roll me eyes and set my bag down on the bench in the locker rooms.
"Great for everybody! We're happy for you! When do you get your uniform?" He asks suddenly.
"I'm not sure. I'm guessing when we start our practices."
"Well, when you get it, try it on. And you can..you know, wear it around the house to break it in."
I roll my eyes. "You just want me to wear it for you to see my junk!"
"No..well maybe. Yeah."
"I have to go, Louis. Volley ball try outs soon!"
"Okay. Let me know if you get it! Which obviously you will because you're so good at it."
I laugh. "Bye, Louis."
"Love you! Bye." He hangs up and I smile.
"Kay!" Kelly runs to me.
"I haven't seen you in forever!" I smile and hug her.
"It's been too long! So, are you dating Louis or Austin?" She asks.
"Louis. Austin and I are just friends." I roll my eyes and change into my try out clothes.
