Things Are Strange, I Like It Like That.

Chapter Eight

"Are you sure you're okay?" Louis asks as we walk into the house.

"I'm fine Louis, really." I walk to the living room and sit on the couch. My phone started ringing so I went to grab it. It was Austin.

"Hello?" I say.

"Kay! What happened? Harry texted me about it but it wasn't really clear.."

"Well, I was basically grabbed by a drunk guy, the guys tried to make him let me go, he punched Harry, and then he slapped me, then the cops arrived and they took him away so, yeah.." I just shortened it so that I wouldn't have to go into very much detail.

"That's horrible! Are you okay?" I could practically see him clenching his fists.

"I'm fine just some bruises and a sore cheek." I glance at Louis and he has his arms crossed.

"That man should be in prison for the rest of his life!" Austin was breathing heavily.

"Hey, Austin. I'll text you. Bye." I hang up the phone and look at Louis.

"What did he want?" He asks.

"He wanted to know if I was okay." I roll my eyes and turn on the TV.

"I think he has feelings for you.." He says quickly and sits down next to me.

"Louis, would you relax? He doesn't have feelings for me. I don't have feelings for him. We are like brother and sister!" I kiss his cheek.

"Okay, I believe you." He smiles and hugs me close to him.

"You smell sweet." I giggle and lay my head on his chest.

"That's a good thing, I think." He says and rubs my back.

"Stop it right now! Guys! They're having a adorableness over load!" Liam yells and sits on the couch.

"Picture time!" Niall says and pulls out his phone.

"Niall, no! I look horrible!" I yell and try to hide my face with a pillow.

"Oh hush. You look gorgeous." Louis smiles.

"My arms don't.." I look down at my purple wrists.

"Do they hurt? What would you take for pain like that?" He looks at me, concerned.

"No. I'm fine, Louis. Really." I smile and kiss him.

"Are you sure?" He looks into my eyes.

"I'm really fine, Louis. Honest."

He sighs. "Alright, if you're sure." He puts his arm around me and we turn to the TV.

"See this is just stupid! People make up these crazy stories about us and people believe them!" Liam says with a mouthful of cold pizza. I look at the TV and realize the headline was about Austin and me again.

"It is stupid. I can't believe how these people jump to conclusions!" I clench my teeth.

"Confirmed! Kaleigh Tompson is in fact cheating on Louis Tomlinson! She admitted it on twitter a few hours ago. Here's the tweet." The TV shows a picture of mine and Austin's conversationon twitter.

"Oh my God..seriously? Can two friends of the opposite sex not have a public conversation anymore?" I punch a couch pillow.

"You changed your username to match his?" Louis looks at me.

"Yeah. I didn't like my old one anyway." I smile at him.

"I liked your old one. Perfectly fine." He keeps a solemn look on his face.

"Oh come on Lou, you really aren't jealous of this too, are you?" I roll my eyes.

"I was never jealous!" He argues.

"Give it up.." I laugh and kiss his cheek. "You've always been jealous. I don't understand why. I mean he likes a girl. We're just friends."

"Who's the girl that he likes?" He asks quickly.

"I think her name was Sara.." I bite my lip.

"Whew..I thought you were going to say you!" He smiles.

"What? I have you and he has Sara!" I giggle and he puts his arm around me. I pull out my phone.

"What are you doing?" He asks.

"You'll see." I smile and open twitter. I click the button for a new tweet and type, "Guys, Austin is just a friend. I'm dating Louis. CONFIRMED. Okay? Okay." I giggle and put my phone away.

"What did you do?" He smiles.

"I'm sure it will be on TV soon." I snuggle closer to him. We all wait a while and then, sure enough, a picture of my tweet ended up on TV.

"So, Kaleigh is in fact dating Louis and Austin is just a friend..or is he? Is this just a cover up to help hide her relationship with Austin? Will she-" I laugh and turn off the TV.

"Stupid reporters!" Niall shouts.

"At least we know the truth." Louis smiles and kisses me.
