I went back up to the room after giving my room number to the desk so the doctor could come up when he got here and getting several water bottles from the store across the street.

Jimin somehow got worse while I was gone. He was panting, red-faced, still crying, and curled up around his stomach. His skin burned to the touch.

"Baby, I'm back. There's a doctor coming to look at you, okay? I got more water. This one is safe, I promise."

He let me give him some water before he laid down again, tears streaming down his face still. I kissed his forehead and squeezed his hand, releasing calming pheromones.

To think we spent most of the day in bed and mating only for Jimin to get food poisoning.

Someone knocked on the door and I left my mate's side, answering the knocking. A man in a grey sweater and black pants stood in the hall.

"I'm terribly sorry for the occurring events, on your honeymoon, no less. I'm doctor Choi."

I let him in and shut the door behind him, following Jimin's whimpers and cries to the source himself.

The doctor ran through the checkup as Jimin almost writhed from pain. The doctor sighed and pulled me to the side.

"Do you know what's wrong?"

"I do. I've seen this multiple times actually. It's a little heartbreaking to watch."

"What is it? He's not going to die, is he?"

"No. Not if he remains fed and hydrated."

"Then what is it?"

"It's wolfsbane. It can be dissolved or served in chunks, but it only affects omegas. You have to let it burn it's way out of his system. I recommend taking him home until it's over. It's best if he's in comfort while he works out of this."

"Is there anything I can give him to help the fever?"

"The only things you can give him to digest is food and water. Anything else can make it worse. Medicine will not help in this case." He looked over at the crying boy curled up in the sheets. "Is he pregnant, by any chance?" He asked, suddenly lowering his voice.

"Yes, why?"

He looked at me sadly.

"Most pregnant omegas that this happens to, end up not being pregnant depending on how far along they are and how long this affects him. If it's one or two days, the pup would be fine. If it's a week and he's still on the first trimester..."

"He could lose the baby," I whispered, finishing the sentence.

"Take him home, keep him fed and hydrated, and let's hope that this blows over by tomorrow or the day after."

I nodded, thanking the doctor quietly.

"Here's my number in case anything else happens."

I sat on the edge of the bed when he left, rubbing Jimin's cheek. His breath was still shaky, but his eyes were closed and his tears stopped. Sweat and heat still covered his skin, however.

"I'm sorry, baby. We never should've come here."
