This is a short one-shot for our dead man.

Reader's POV

I'm a new survivor; just entered like a month ago. I didn't have a good start with the survivors... I mean, I made friends but only a few. I didn't hang out with the 'popular ones' like Vera, Naib, and Servais. I'm with the normally quiet ones like Tracy, Helena, and Kurt. Plus, there was this weird survivor called the Embalmer who always looks at me so there's that.

Anyways, it was 5 am and I walked down the halls towards the kitchen. I woke up early since Eli's owl was screeching 4 in the morning outside my window. Nasty bird.

I opted to just eat something, approaching the white fridge shoved in the corner. As I open the door, the chilling air blew, hitting my face.

Oh god...... I'm gonna die.....

There wasn't any food inside.

Only veggies and meat and I can't be bothered to cook.

I whimper and closed the door, sighing.

"Y/N? Why are you up this early?"

A voiced made me turn in god-speed. The familiar look of the embalmer stood across from me, holding a chocolate bar. The sight of the sweet food made my mouth water.

I cleared my throat and spoke "I was hungry.... but there's no food at the fridge," disappointment lacing my words.

He was quiet for a while before responding "You're.... hungry?" He repeats. I nod shyly, curtaining my face with my h/c hair.

I felt him come closer and from my view of looking down, I see him snapping off a small piece from the bar, like, 1/4 of the treat.

I look up at him, expecting him to give me the small piece. He stood there with the two broken pieces before removing his mask and holy sh*t was he cute. I blushed, not gonna lie.

He had that thin face and cute lips every girl in fan fictions usually have but nooo. He rocked it.

Anyways, he gave me a smile and ate the smaller piece. Wait, is he just gonna tease me and actually not give me anything?

I frown and puff out my cheeks, unamused. Aesop chuckles and holds the bigger part to me. "Here."

I hesitated. He sighs and grabs my hand, placing the chocolate bar there and closing them. His gloved hand wrapped around mine was.... nice.

I blush and look at him, seeing he was also looking at me. Pulling up his mask, Aesop let's go and starts walking away, hearing a door open and someone walking towards the kitchen. He walked down the halls and soon disappeared.

The door revealed Emily, sleepiness evident. She looks at me and smiled, then her expression changed to one in confusion. "Where did you get that chocolate? Miss Nightingale and the host said that they weren't able to get any sweets for us this week?" she asks.

I bit off the piece and look at the direction Aesop went. "Aesop gave it to me."

She chuckled "That's odd," she says. I look at her, confused. "Aesop never shares his food. Ever. You must be pretty special."

I blush. Looking at the chocolate bar, I smile.
