.... I'm sorry for disappearing.

This was requested by Lemmy-Kun btw (I'm sorry I took too long... Also if it's alright, I sort of winged it since I had no idea where the string was supposed to be...)! Their ocs name is Mae, and she's a match maker! Info below:

[Surname] Flaversham
[Name] Mae
[Age] Around 25 years old
[Birthday] September 29th
[Height] 5'1" (155cm)
[Gender] Female
[Career] Matchmaker / Storyteller (previously)
[Prop] Red string
[Job] Support

[Matching Duo] - With her red string, the Matchmaker can link two survivors together. The two linked survivors then possess a bunch of "buff" in common: they can heal eachother quicker, save eachother from rocket-chairs quicker and decode faster when they are decoding together. One of the two "soulmate" would also be able, only once,to take a damage instead of their partner to protect them for getting incapacitated. The link last until the end of the match or until one of the "soulmate" die.

Hope you enjoy♥️

Mae's POV

I sat around the porch of the mansion, sewing a torn out brown hat I had found lying around the dark hallways. It was in terrible condition, yet it looked like it had been used a lot. Maybe it belongs to someone that cherishes it.

There was a red patch inside, as well as some awfully sewed seams, as if someone with no skills in sewing had attempted to fix the tattered hat.

Either way, I had nothing to do but to fix it. My match was in a few minutes anyways. Hopefully enough time for me to find the owner of this shabby cap. Although it does look quite familiar, I can't seem to put my finger to it.... Considering I'm new and all.

I walked around the halls, looking for anyone I might find wearing this hat. I don't know much people here, just a few. Although, I have already grown quite the dislike towards that damn lawyer. Which reminds me, him and I will have to be in a match later. Ugh.

I felt a sudden presence behind me, yet it was vague. As if someone rather stealthy was able to mask their presence greatly. It caught me off-guard when my shoulder was grabbed by a large, calloused hand.

Caught by surprise, I quickly turned back and threw a punch to the unknown persons stomach, causing them to curl into pain as they let out a groan.

As I gain my composure, I finally realized the familiar brown hair and fuzzy scruff of Kreacher. He raised his head up, showing me his heterochromatic eyes. "Hi..." He greeted with a pure, yet pained smile.

My eyes widen as I quickly tried helping him up. "My apologies...! You startled me..." I said as a faint blush escape to my face. Kreacher seemed to not take any grudge to it as he stood straight with a soft chuckle.

"It's alright! Wus' sorta my fault too!" He laughed, rubbing his stomach where my punch landed. He smiled at me, before his eyes went down to the hat I was holding.

His eyes lit up, pointing at the cap. "Hey! You found my hat!" He beamed happily. I looked at the hat I fixed, reaching it out for him to take. "I found it in the halls," I replied as he grabbed it from my hands.

"Thanks! I thought I lost my favourite hat!" Kreacher said happily as he then started inspecting it. "Hey.... Did you fi-"

The bell that signalled a match was gonna start went off, cutting out Kreacher's sentence. I sighed and looked up at him, considering I was smaller than the thief. "I have to go for my match now," I said. "Oh, alright... Good luck Mae!" He said as he waved me off.
