I was determined to find more information on the pack nearby. That Alpha was so... strange. I knew I was dumb to howl like I did but its usually out of fear for rogues. But this wolf.. I would have been able to sense him.. his power.. anything. But I was left with nothing, and he didn't kill me?
I lied back on my back, staring at the ceiling with a frustrated glare. My dads still out doing god knows what, maybe I could go back to that clearing? The Alpha seems to have a very strong sense when other wolves are on his territory, is it worth it to talk to him? Learn about his pack?
I rolled over and sighed. Why am I so interested in this? I've never really been around a pack before.. and part of my was kind of excited. I originally said I didn't want to be apart of one.. but now? The idea was so thrilling. But a looming fear of my childhood tainted the excitement. Do I risk it? I have hated packs since I was little, why would I try and learn about one now?
Ugh. This is going to be incredibly stupid of me.
I pushed myself off the bed and checked out my window to make sure my dad still wasn't hope, I anxiously rubbed my arms before heading downstairs and out the back door.
I want answers and I want to speak with this Alpha again.
I shifted into my wolf and shook out my white fur under the glow of the moon. The soft light bathed my fur and illuminated it in the dark. A new sense of determination filled my being as a started jogging through the trees and brush.
The clearing wasn't far, which means this pack as always been fairly close to my home. Are they new maybe?
Questions continued to flicker through my mind at the prospect of this pack. I paused for a moment. Would I want to join one? They certainly cant be like how I'm living now and how my father is. The Alpha seemed very protective of his pack and land.
I shook the thoughts and continued running, the clearing was just up ahead now. I could smell the soft grass and the berries near it.
I broke through the trees and let my eyes roam over the grass. The moon shown high above and helped increase the beauty of this space. I let myself walk toward the center before I sat down and looked toward the moon. My eyes slid shut as I basked in the glow.
My ears flickered around to any small sound as I waited for the arrival of the Alpha. Fear crept through me at the possibility of someone other than him finding me. I shook the thought away and opened my eyes again.
I see you're suicidal. I low voice spoke
I jumped to my feet and spun around looking for him. The Alpha slowly crept through the trees, flanked by two other large wolves.
I sighed softly I'm not here to cause trouble..
Then what is it you want young wolf? The alpha asked.
I sat down I'm interested in your pack. I've lived here almost all my life and have never encountered a pack.
The wolves stopped walking a few feet from me, the Alpha also sat down while the two others stood still.
Hmm. I see. We are new in this area. My pack grew too large and we needed more space for everyone, thankfully we found a large home that could accommodate us near by with good late for use. We have only been here a week or so. Now young wolf, mind telling me why you're not apart of a pack? Its very dangerous for you. He inquired after answering my questions
Well... I don't really know. Never been near one and my father isn't from one. My mother... I don't know. I'm sorry I don't have an answer.
