Irritation

I stirred in my sleep as I felt something cold touch the side of my face. I went to push it away but I came in contact with fur. My eyes snapped open and I was met with the amused star of the great white wolf that has often visited me. I groaned and sat up, "What is it this time?"

He laughed and sat back, looked at me with a cocked head.

"It feels like it has been awhile since we've last seen each other."

"It has been awhile, what do you need?" I asked as I glanced over to Jasons sleeping form.

'No one can hear us right now, he won't wake up.' The wolf assured, "Now onto more important matters..' The aura around him changed to what of sorrow. 'From here on out things will be getting very difficult for you. The pack you encountered with the hybrid witch will be apart of your life again very soon.. And you must face it." He rose to his feet and rested his head on my shoulder, "When you wake up again this will be long forgotten.. But when the time comes, it will all be familiar to you."

I pushed the wolf away, "Why can't I remember this?! I can tell the pack! We can prevent it all."

"Because you need to face this! This is something that cannot be changed, and only you can handle it." The large wolf snarled down at me.

My head dropped at the power emitting from him.

He spoke lowly again, ' You are a Winter Wolf. You must be prepared for all that you will face because of what fills your soul."

The wolf lunged at me, I covered my eyes with my arms but nothing ever came. I slowly peered ahead and saw light pouring in from the large glass window.

What?

I quickly looked around and saw that I was now completely alone. Is Jason out on a run? I went to push up from the bed but found myself faltering. Why is my heart beating so fast? I rubbed at my chest and found my skin to be growing hotter. An ache began to grow and a desire was sparked for the touch of my mate.

What's going on?

I took off my shirt as the fabric was irritating my skin and I found it too hot to bare. My frustration was rising, the need for pleasure was their but I was finding myself getting pissed off at little things. The light from the window was hitting my eye, and the cracked open door was annoying the hell out of me. I finally found it in me to get up and see where my mate was and why he didn't warn me he wouldn't be here.

My inner wolf was being particularly odd as well. He was whimpered and pacing around,

What's wrong with you?

He sighed and laid down, This is the first time we are experiencing this. We're in heat. He whined.

Is this why I'm so irritated and horny?

He didn't answer and simply nodded.

We need our mate.. He can feel this through our bond. He will be here soon.

Well isn't this just great! So I guess Dom's spell sped up this whole process since it's been a damn week since that whole ordeal. This is the last thing I want to deal with right now. Fuck it. I don't want to wait for my mate to show up, I'm going to go and find him.

I trudged down the stairs and went straight out the door, completely ignoring my slight lack of clothes. I could feel the presence of my mate through the air.. He was in the kitchen. Great to know he's thinking about food rather than his suffering mate.

I stormed down the stairs and stood in the doorway to the kitchen. My mate was facing away from me but I saw his body go rigid.

"Dustin.." He breathed, "Are you in heat?" He asked. His hands were gripping the counter and he refused to turn around.

"Yes I am. Woke up like this and I'm pissed off because you weren't there!" I growled out.

I felt a presence come up behind me and a hand rested on my shoulder. I flinched from the contact.

"Jason, I need you to leave this room immediately," It was the Alpha.

I froze at his powerful voice.

"My love, please make Dustin here a tea to help him with these side effects." The Alpha asked.

The Luna quickly came up to me already holding a steaming cup of tea for me.

"Please take him back to his room, I don't think Jason can actually leave at the moment. I will be staying here with him." The Alpha commanded. I didn't dare to disobey him now and all anger toward my mate was dropped. The Luna carefully grabbed my hand and pulled me away from the two Alpha males.

"It'll be okay.. You just need to drink this and it'll help you."

I simply nodded and didn't bother answering.

"Here.. drink some of this as we head back" She handed me the cup and I eagerly took it, wanting to rid myself of these unpleasant feelings. The tea was steaming hot but I ignored the pain as I slowly drank a bit.

"I put some Valerian in it so you may get a bit drowsy.. I suggest we take you up to your room so you can sleep and wake up feeling better, okay?"

I let her lead me into the room and up the stairs, back to where this all started. She drew the massive curtains over the window while I sat down and finished the tea. She was right.. I could feel myself wanting to shut my eyes. I set the cup down and curled up on the bed, "Thank you for the help," I mumbled against the pillow.

"Of course dear.. I understand what it's like." She spoke softly, "Sleep well little wolf.."

I was awoken to the sound of muffled voices. They seemed to be in an argument.. Why do people constantly want to have arguments when I'm trying to sleep? Especially in my home! One thing I was thankful for was the tea the Luna gave me. The heat was nothing more than a dull flame within me and I could finally think straight and focus.

I crept out of the bed and held my ear to the door.

"Jason.. You need to go away for a bit, just until his heat is gone." The Alpha pleaded

"No! He will just get raped by some unmated hormonal wolf!" Jason growled.

"He will be forced to stay in his room.. don't worry." The Alpha was trying to reason.

"I don't care! I need to be with him through this all. I can't leave him alone!"

"It would be best if you weren't here.. You might not be able to control yourself if you're around him. The smell of his arousal will drive you crazy and you might do something you will heavily regret. You are risking the trust you so strongly worked to gain from your first big mistake as a mate. I'm not concerned about another wolf harming him, I'm worried about you being the one to do it!."

"I understand that. But we are already noticing an increase in rogue wolves lately.. If they catch wind that we have a white wolf in heat they will take him!"

I pulled back from the door, not wanting to hear anymore of the conversation. I'm in danger because of rogues?
