My vision came back a few minutes later.. Dom managed to keep me calm throughout it all. The covering on my eyes simply dissipated without any side effects. As my sight came back Dom had to go and help Janice with things. I haven't seen her since the incident that occurred the other day. Dom said I would have time today away from her to think of another way to escape.

I was currently running my hands along the metal chain, I was pissed I couldn't use my bite to break it.

I have an idea.. I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner. Shift to your wolf and just.. Slip out of the collar. Your fur is thick enough, she may not have taken that into account, especially since you aren't like the other wolves she's kept. My wolf explained.

Okay.. I let my body slowly shift to one of the white wolf. I shook out my neck and stretched from being under its weight.

Okay try and pull your head out of the collar.. it might hurt a bit..

I wearily stood to my feet and backed away from the chain. The metal was slowly rising off the ground as I reached the length of the chain. The cool metal collar pushed my ears forward.

I grit my teeth and began pulling back against the full length of the metal. I felt the hard edges begin cutting into my ears and neck. I tried twisting my head around and pulling harder against it. I could feel it slicing into my ears and I wanted it so badly to stop. The blood began trickling down my neck as I finally managed to slip out of.

The metal clanked to the ground with a sound that rang in my ears.I wanted to jump around and howl out but I needed to get out of the house first.

I carefully nudged open the door and scanned the hallway. I was hit was the delicious tender smell of steak. I crept down the hall way and peered into the kitchen. Janice was standing before her large stove, utensils in hand. A soft tune floated from her lips.

I slowly moved forward, my awareness was heightened as I felt the familiar fire light within me. I curled my claws into the wood floor as I readied to pounce. I steadied my breathing and jumped forward, pushing her onto the hot stove. She let out a scream and worked to push off the stove top. I watched her hand grab at the steak knife on the counter and swing back. I jumped off her back and landed on the kitchen table, snapping it into pieces. She spun around holding her face and crying in pain. Her skin began to blister and bleed. I quickly jumped back up to my feet and snarled at the witch.

"You pathetic piece of shit!" She screeched.

She raised a hand up and blasted air at me which sent me flying back against a decorative mirror. I fell to the ground along with many shards of glass. I yelped out as I felt some pierce my skin. I pushed to my feet and jumped at her again but she just brushed me to the side. I landed near a broken leg of the table with a loud thud. I looked up at her with her blistering skin and crazed eyes. She held the knife ready to lodge it into my body.

"You can't win this fight you little mutt." She growled.

Suddenly the loud thuds filled the air, causing me and Janice to look towards the hallway. Dom was in mid air shifting to a dull grey wolf. He landed on the ground with a thud before lifting off again and attacking Janice. A gasp escaped her lips as she was knocked to the ground. Dom bit down on her neck, his jaw clenched as blood began to drip. The knife fell from her hand as she began grasping at Doms jaws. I watched from the floor as her thrashing slowed and the life in her eyes dimmed.

Dom released her and she fell to the ground. Blood began to slowly pool around her lifeless body. I looked at Dom who was shifting back to human, he looked worn. He collapsed on the ground, his skin was turning into a ghostly white color, his hair a light grey.

"Run! She will be back soon.." Dom's voice sounded so fragile..

I pushed up and walked over to the old grey man. I nuzzled his face softly and pressed my head to his. I slowly began backing away and running out of the home. My last image of him being him falling to the ground.

Trees became blurry at my top speed, the adrenaline dulled the pain that covered my body.

Jason!? I yelled, I no longer felt as though I was yelling into a void.

Dustin? Is that you!? Jason's voice was full of hope.

Yes.. it's me! I cried

Where are you!?

I slowed to a walk and glanced around. Where am I? All the trees looked the same, nothing offered a scent on how to get back.

I have no clue... I'm so sorry.

No no.. it's okay.. Raven is out there searching! Call to your guardian!

Can I even do that?

I took a deep breath and raised my head to the sky. My mind was locked with Raven's, I could feel the beat of his wings and the wind beneath his wings.

I silenced my song and waited. I looked around up top, my hope dwindling.

I heard the soft call of my friend. Joy filled my core as I saw the black bird come into view. It flew around me as I jumped about and howled.

Raven hovered in front of me, surveying the injuries I've acquired from the capture. The pain was beginning to come back and I desperately wanted to get home.

The bird twisted up into the sky before fluttering back down and gesturing toward the direction he came from. I gave him a nod and the two of us began our journey back home.
