Fancy Tea

I don't know how I'm supposed to feel right now. My thoughts are muddled and mixed with images from what we experienced and the reunion that happened mere hours ago.  Part of me was ecstatic that we're back and away from those wolves but I know this isn't over yet. Those wolves won't be happy with the few casualties we caused by our escape.

I let my eyes wander around the now empty meeting room. It took awhile to clear out the rowdy wolves, but now we finally have some peace and quiet. Raven and Juliet stayed by after the meeting was over with promises of useful information that will greatly aid us.

I tuned out from the talking as I took the time to appreciate those around me. This has been the hardest my life has ever been.. But I'm stronger because of all of it.

I heard the Alpha address me and I quickly rejoined the conversation.

"Dustin, what happened? We need to know the details of the events. Seth seems a bit shaken about it and we don't want to force this on him but we need something."

I glanced over at Ash who was wrapped in Seth's arms, I sighed softly and pushed myself out of Jason's.

"I'll give you a run down, I guess. Ash and I were put in a cell in some basement. It lacked much light and seemed to have an operating table across from us. There were a few other cells but they were all empty . I think this is where they kept Ash when he originally was with them. We had guards stationed in the front of the cell and we found some stronger guards towards the exit." My breath quickened and I tried to push away the negative emotions that began creeping in. I didn't want to thing about what occurred," We took out two that fed us and the two at the exit and we ran. That's it" I spat out. The words left an ill taste in my mouth and I wanted to rid of it fast.

The Alpha's eyes narrowed "You took our two trained guards?"

I turned my head away from his gaze and nodded slightly.

"Continue." He said quickly.

"I told you all I know. I don't want to address anymore, thank you."

"Is that everything though?" Asked the Alpha

I gave a curt nod before sitting back with Jason.

"No, that's not everything."

I glared over to Ash after he spoke. What is he doing? I don't want to talk about that now. Not around everyone!

I growled toward Ash, he just returned a glare before pushing away from his mate.

"Yeah, No that's not everything." He crossed his arms.

"Please do continue then Ash, what didn't Dustin say?" the Alpha asked.

Ash glanced toward me again, "Dustin kind of became a completely different wolf when fighting those guards. He tore the arm off one of them and destroyed both of them with such minimal effort. And then when we fought the last two... he had this.. blood look to him. His eyes were crazed and when he spoke to me, it didn't sound like himself. He got a complete god-complex, It was terrifying." Ash returned to his mate pressed himself against him.

Slight movement made me snap my head to Raven who was giving Juliet an odd look.

"Is that true Dustin?" The Alpha leaned forward.

I sighed soft and got back up, turning my back toward the group. "Yes it's true. I don't know what happened. I felt so powerful.. like I was a god. The wolves were nothing to me.. Just toys that I could break and bend. I felt such an anger inside me.. this blood lust for the enemy..I don't know."

"Uh.. If I may speak.." Ravens voice rose up, " Juliet and I actually had some information that may clear up what happened to him.. that's why we wanted to talk to you after the meeting ended. Juliet care to explain?"

I spun around and looked toward her as she rose up and gave a book to the Alpha.

" So, we were trying to figure out why those wolves wanted white wolves specifically. We could barely find any information until we came across some sentences regarding white wolves as being hand picked from the gods. So.. we switched over to more religious books and texts about the gods. The specific information is right in that book!" she pointed to the one the Alpha was now holding, " That book told us that White Wolves were indeed selected by the gods and are a pure essence of them. They're given powers from the gods to help restore order when it may arise! We're thinking that those wolves know this and want to utilize that power for their own benefit. I mean having white wolves with god powers on your side can turn any fight in your favor. Sadly though that's the most we got.. but I feel that maybe.. based on what you're saying Dustin..is that your powers could be coming from a god of war and death. But we still need to do some research and we may reach out to other packs for any books they might have on this."

I stared at Juliet with wide eyes. White wolves have godlike powers? What? The wolf that visits me he's..?

The Alpha rose up " To be sure of it we need all that we can get on the subject and we need to test that theory on both Dustin and Ash. Once you guys rest for a few days we will begin training to see if those god powers are indeed true. Good work you two finding all of this, I trust you will continue to uncover more to unlock the pieces to this"

Raven and Juliet both nodded.

I pinched the bridge of my nose and sighed. " Yeah we can test it, just give us two days tops to recover a bit before we begin training." I glanced to Ash " Are you fine with that?"

He nodded quickly .

"Great, now if you will excuse me, the adrenaline from these past few days has been kinda of keeping back my heat and I can feel the flame reigniting...Anyone got some of that fancy tea?"
