Chapter Seven:

"Time travel test one!" Bruce's voice echoed, "Scott, err, fire up the van thing."

Hazel had no idea how they got the Van inside the building, or where the found it or how they got it there so quickly. Scott walked up the van in his suit and swung open the doors, almost instantly something did fire up.

"Breakers are set. Emergency generators are on stand by." Steve rushed over crossing his arms, he found a place next to Hazel and shouted some more orders.

"Good." Bruce replied, him in his own blue get up. "'Cause if we blow the grid, I don't want to lose Tiny in the 1950's."

"Excuse me?"

"He's kidding." Natasha grinned staring down at her tablet. She broke her stare and looked up at her friend, "You can't say things like that."

He turned from what he was doing and looked between all of them, "Just... it was, it was just a bad joke."

They all seemed amused except for Scott who had a scowl on his face, he looked up at Bruce for seconds before he turned away and walked toward the van.

Hazel walked closer to Bruce, "You were kidding right? About losing him in 1950."

"I don't know! We're talkin' about time travel here. Either it's all a joke or none of it is." He peeled away and grinned at Scott, giving him a thumbs up. "We're all good! Get your helmet on."

Footsteps sounded behind her and she looked to see Steve, he whispered something to the big man before placing himself between her and Natasha.

"Scott, I'm going to send you back a week, but you'll walk around for an hour, than bring you back in 10 seconds. Make sense?"

The helmet made Scott look ridiculous and Hazel tried not to laugh as he gave a thumbs up, "Perfectly not confusing." He said.

"Good luck, Scott." Steve used his Captain America voice and nodded, "You got this."

The other name nodded back, "You're right. I do, Captain America."

And then he was gone.

Hazel tensed as Bruce began counting down, and with 3 seconds he pushed another button. Scott returned, and Hazel was going to start cheering when she realized it wasn't really him, not the one who left anyways. It was a younger version of him, when he was a teenager.

"Guys." He mumbled, "This doesn't feel right."

"What's going on?" Natasha asked.

"Who's that?" Steve questioned.

"Hold on!" Bruce yelled.

Natasha ignored her friend, "Is that Scott?"

"Yes, it's Scott." Scott replied.

He disappeared again, getting sucked into the van. Bruce clicked a few more button and another Scott appeared, this time a very old one.

"Ouch, my back!"

Hazel's eyes widened, "Shit."

He vanished yet again. Another attempt to restore what they were screwing with.

Steve rushed passed her, "Can you bring him back?"

"I'm working on it!" He pushed a few buttons and pulled a few levers, quickly he restored to smacking the machine and something happened.
