Chapter Twenty Five:

Morgan wouldn't let go of Hazel. They had arrived at the Stark household a few hours earlier, and as soon as Hazel crossed the threshold into the house, the little girl was was glued to her side. Not many people were there, especially since they were two hours early, but Pepper seemed relieved to see them.

"Did you come to see Daddy?" Morgan asked grabbing ahold of her hand, "He's out back somewhere."

Hazel frowned but nodded, "Yeah, I did come to see him. We all did."

"Mommy said he saved the world."

"He did, Morgan."

She looked up at Hazel, "I never got a dog."

Hazel chuckled picking the girl up, "I'll make sure you get one, kiddo."

Morgan wrapped her arms around her neck, humming along to something. Hazel walked through the house and made it outside to the backyard where everyone who had come early was. Steve and Bucky were standing at the edge of the lake, and instantly Hazel felt guilty once again. They hadn't spoke to each other once from the time they got up and got here, and Carol was nowhere to be seen.

"Do you want to meet someone?" Hazel questioned.

"I love people." The girl mumbled.

Hazel carried Morgan all the way to the lakes edge where she got her down and stared up at Bucky from behind.

"This is Morgan." Hazel broke the silence a little to loudly, and Bucky and Steve slowly turned to see the little girl staring up at them. "Tony's daughter."

"Hi."

"Hello." Steve bent down, smiling at her. As if they'd never met. "How are you?"

Morgan shrugged, "Ok."

"I'm Steve and this is Bucky."

"I know." She nodded, "Aunt Hazel talks about you a lot."

"Aunt?" Hazel questioned.

"Mhmm."

Footsteps thudded on the deck and everyone turned to see another group of people wander outside. Hazel could see Wanda walking down the steps with Thor and the Guardians, and an unfamiliar guy puttered around.

"Wanna come meet some people?" Hazel asked Morgan, who in return nodded and held her hand again. She lead them towards the unknown person, smiling kindly when he saw them approach.

"Hey." Hazel smiled, "How are you?"

"I'm... alright." He pursed his lips, "And you are?"

"Oh! Sorry, ha, um, I'm Hazel."

"Harley." He nodded, "Are you related to Tony or..."

She shook her head, "No, but Morgan here is. I was very close to, uh, Tony. How did you know him?"

"When I was little. I'm sure he wouldn't even recognize me but I heard about... well, that he passed away and I wanted to say goodbye."

Another group of people seemed to have arrived as Hazel's eyes flickered over Harley's shoulders and she caught a glimpse of Peter walking with May.

"I'm sorry," Hazel looked back at him, "I've got to go over there—"

He chuckled, "No problem. It was nice meeting you, Hazel."

"You too." She told him, leading Morgan across the yard. Peter saw her and waved when an arm wrapped around her arm and pulled her to a stop.
