Chapter Fourteen:

Steve didn't let go of her arm until he found an empty room with a telephone, he shut the door and raced over to it.

"What's the plan?" Hazel asked, watching as he flipped threw a small book, "I know what Tony's supposed to be doing but—"

"Our plan is to distract. We gotta get more Pym Particles and he happens to work here and has multiples."

"Oh." Hazel said, "That's actually a good plan."

He looked up at her, closing the book. "Yeah, maybe you should've stayed for the entire meeting."

"I would've, but I was afraid Thor was going to go into more detail about his relationship with his old flame, Jane." She mocked his accent at the end, quite pleased with her attempt. Steve pressed a finger to his lips and picked up the phone, dailing a number. His finger fell away when she heard a voice on the other end,

"Dr Pym?" Steve questioned. There was a long pause, then, "This is Captain Stevens, from shipping. We have a package for you."

She walked over and got her ear as close to the phone as she could, she got pretty close considering it was still pressed against Steve's own ear. He tried swatting her away but she remained, not budging.

"Bring it up." A man's voice said. Steve stuttered, "Well, that's the thing sir, we can't."

She heard slurping, "I'm confused. I thought that was your job."

"The Box is glowing." Hazel whispered. Steve frowned but continued on, "Well, it's just... Sir, the box is glowing and, to be honest, some our mail guys aren't feeling that great."

The man on the other side seemed to grow serious, "They didn't open it, did they?"

Hazel nodded quickly, mouthing They totally did.

"Uh, yeah, they did, sir. You better get down here."

Steve dropped the phone and stood up straight, "Thanks for the help."

Hazel raised her hand and waited for a high five, reluctantly he gave her one and then walked over to the door before peeking out into the hallway. He motioned for her to follow, and she did. They walked down to the next room which had Dr. Henry Pym on the door and they slipped in.

Steve darted into the room, following the maze of desks. Hazel went the other way, and walked up to a glass cabinet with red tubes in it.

"Are these it?" She whispered, finding Steve walk up next to her. "Yes." He had a smile on his face. He put his hand through a small circle in the glass and picked up four, she assumed if one of them screwed up it was good to have the extra. They walked back towards the door, and stepped out into the hallway.

"Follow my lead." Steve told her as they took a few good distancing steps from Dr Pym's office,  just in time for them to look up and see the women from the elevator walking with two armed security guards in tow.

"Damnit." Hazel grumbled, Steve's hand found her arm again and yanked her into the next closest room. The door clicked shut behind them as the women went by. She let out a sigh of relief, "Where are we meeting Tony, again?"

"Out front."

Hazel had her hand on the door knob when she realized Steve was no longer behind her, she turned and found him standing at the desk holding something. She walked up next to him and took a peek at what was a picture frame, a very young and small looking Steve was the focal point.

"Why does someone have a picture of you on their desk." She asked, mind piecing things together. She frowned, "You're frozen in the middle of the ocean right now, aren't you? That's why that lady looked all freaked out in the elevator."
