Chapter Twenty Eight: The End

Steve was not where he said he would be which lead Peter and Hazel to wait around at a parking garage for merely 10 minutes, just before her cell phone rang from her pocket.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Hazel." It was Steve.

"We're by that parking garage you told us to wait at. Where are you? Are you alright?"

"Yes, we're fine. We're all at Tony's, he had all the stones put away and I'm going to return them."

"How? I thought you need Pym Particles and Tony's invention was destroyed with Headquarters."

Peter gave her a concerned look, mouthing "Who is it? What's wrong?"

She waved a dismissive hand, waiting for Steve to reply.

"He had everything figured out. I'll hopefully see you when you get here."

"What do you mean hopefully?"

There was a pause, "Happy Hogan is going to pick you up. And Hazel?"

"Yes?"

She heard him sigh, "Never mind. I'll see you soon."

The line went dead and she frowned down at it, Peter nudged her arm. "What happened?"

"Steve's about to do something stupid." She huffed shoving her phone back into her pocket. "They're all Tony's, Happy's coming to get us."

"Why are they all there?"

"He said they're returning the stones back to the correct timelines. Tony had them safe and had plans on how to get them back. Steve's returning them."

Peter's eyes lit up, "Time Travel?"

She nodded, "Yes. But it's not as cool as it sounds, and going back in time takes a lot out of you."

He stared at her as if she was stupid, "You're telling me you went back in time? And- and you never even told me?"

"I didn't think it was a big deal."

"A bIG dEaL?" He breathed, making a squeaking noise. "You didn't think— are you kidding me? Hazel! Time Travel! Time Travel!"

He had stepped towards her unknowingly and had grabbed ahold of her shoulders, as if trying to re tell her how much he loved stuff like that. He was a science fanatic, and loved everything about finding new things and breaking the laws of physics. There was a glint in his eyes as he waited for her to say more, but she kept her mouth shut.

There was a honk of a car and Peter's hand fell from her shoulders, they turned to see Happy glaring at them.

"Happy!" Peter grinned as the window rolled down, "Nice to see you—"

"Just get in the car." The window rolled back up.

Hazel snorted walking around and flopping into the backseat while Peter got in on the other side.

Happy glared at them again through the mirror, "What's this about punching kids at school?"

They both froze, and Happy pulled back out into the street, blending into the traffic.

"What in the world are you talking about?" Hazel questioned sweetly.

"Yeah, what are you rambling about?" Peter added.

Happy sighed, "You're lucky I answered the phone and not Pepper because she'd be telling May and Bucky."

Peter's brows scrunched, "Why did the school call there?"
