White Lap

Baekho stared at the male who stared back at him. The two awkwardly turned away but Minhyun stayed laying on his lap, making himself comfortable. The lap itself had a firm structure so Minhyun found it rather easy to actually ease into it.

"What are you doing?" Baekho asked softly, bringing his hand up to his lips. He was kind of embarrassed to have a male lay on his lap instead of a female but knew he probably shouldn't think about pushing him away.

"Taking a nap," Minhyun replied, trying to sound nonchalant even though he could feel his increasing heartbeat.

"Right... on my lap?"

"On your lap."

"You trust me enough to do this?" That question caught Minhyun off guard but he didn't waver. He simply shrugged, hoping Baekho would shut up about it already. "Alright, alright. I'll keep quiet now."

"Good. I was starting to think if I should have sewn your lips together," Minhyun said jokingly but that did make Baekho keep quiet. He picked up the book he was reading before and continued where he left off. It took Minhyun awhile but he gradually fell asleep, feeling tired from all the work he had to keep up with.

If there was a reason Minhyun woke up at odd hours in the night, it would be because of nightmares. They would come every so often, disturbing the other from a good sleep. Maybe it was the lap or just the peaceful feeling he felt in the library but his nightmares stayed away from his nap.

Baekho couldn't help from taking short glimpses at the sleeping male. He could tell Minhyun did in fact have a pretty face. Long lashes and pouty lips. A tall nose and high cheekbones. If only he wasn't such a jerk, Baekho thought but at the same time felt as though Minhyun most likely had a sweet side that he didn't want to show. He lifted his hand, brining it closer to the other's hair but stopped before he actually touched it. Minhyun would probably kill him if he thought Baekho was trying any funny tricks so he held back and just went back to reading.

An hour passed and he woke up, a little startled by nothing. Maybe he did have a short dream but one he couldn't quite recall. The jolt he made with his body made Baekho shocked as well since the other flinched. Minhyun sat up and rubbed his eyes, noticing a coat falling off his shoulders. He held it up and turned to Baekho to see that the other had removed his coat and covered him with it.

"What's wrong?" Baekho spoke first. "You jumped up."

"Huh?" Minhyun handed the coat back to him and stretched a little. "It's... Nothing. I can't remember anyways. Thanks for the coat. You didn't have to." Baekho shrugged and just continued reading. Minhyun sat there in a daze until he decided to stand up which made Baekho look up from his book again.

"Leaving again?" The shorter male asked.

"Yeah. I still have work to do... I didn't think I would take a nap today."

"You look really tired though. Are you sure you're not overworking yourself?"

"And why should that be a cause for concern to you?" Minhyun wished he didn't sound so mean. He wished he didn't have to say such things but he couldn't stop himself either. Baekho sighed and shrugged.

"Maybe cause you looked really glad to have a nice sleep for once," Baekho muttered. Minhyun was slightly taken aback by his reply, cheeks turning a pinkish hue but he quickly turned away.

"I... thanks for not doing anything while I napped," Minhyun said, changing what he was going to say last minute.

"I don't want to get killed," Baekho chuckled and Minhyun frowned. "By the way... my name is Baekho. Or well, Dong Ho but I prefer Baekho."

"Why're you telling me this?" Minhyun raised a brow, questioning the other's intentions.

"Uh... it's just that the pink haired boy told me your name is Minhyun so I thought it was only fair that you knew mine as well."

That little punk. Minhyun nodded and shrugged. Well, it wasn't like he wasn't interested in the other's name but he didn't have a need to call him by name yet so he had forgot to ask. Still, he guessed Baekho had a nice sound to it. He shook the thought off and kept a calm look as he approached the door.

"I'm leaving. Make sure you eat," Minhyun said when he noticed the tray of food still on the table. "Sorry for stalling your lunch time." Baekho had totally forgot about it. In fact, he wasn't even hungry anymore but still got up to take the food. Minhyun left and made sure to lock the door again. He was quite sure no one would be interrupting Baekho anymore so he could work in peace.

Or so he thought.

Ren was lounging at the study room, waiting for Minhyun who unconsciously let out a low groan but walked over anyways. Ren noticed the taller boy approaching and got up, keeping a sheepish smile.

"Did I make you upset?" He asked and twirled his fingers in an attempt to look cute to maybe lessen Minhyun's anger if it was still there.

"A little," Minhyun replied. "It's fine. You should go home for the day. I have work to do." Ren pouted though and held Minhyun's arm.

"But you've been so busy lately. You haven't played with me in so long!" Ren whined like a child. Minhyun sighed and shrugged.

"I know. But I have work," Minhyun said firmly, placing his own hand onto Ren's. "Look, Aron is here to play with you instead. Be nice and follow him instead."

Ren turned to look at another prince who Minhyun had called beforehand, walking up to them. Minhyun offered a small smile and Ren huffed before letting Minhyun go to cling onto Aron who was more than happy to have the other clinging to him.

"Still, you should take a rest sometimes, Minhyun. Don't overwork yourself too much, okay?" Aron said, patting Minhyun on the arm. "I'm worried about you."

"I understand. I'll... find time to rest," Minhyun replied half heartedly. Aron nodded and turned to Ren.

"Let's go then," Aron said to Ren who grumpily nodded but still listened as the two walked away together. Minhyun felt a short relief flow through him before he headed to the study room to continue his conversation with the advisor.
