Sky's POV:

Maya woke me up stupidly early to go to work with her. She normally just disappeared and I assumed that's where she would go. I haven't been to work with her in ages, mostly because until Samantha had turned 16 I stayed to take care of her.

I yawned and stretched out in the backseat of the car, hoping I could catch up on some sleep before we arrived. Unfortunately Maya made several stops for food and coffee before actually going and forced me to go with her. The entire time she said not a word to me.

By the time we arrived at the huge office building, I was wide awaken. We got our IDs and got into the elevator. I instinctively waited for her to list off the floors I could and couldn't go to. Then realized there was no need anymore. I was her wife now.

Doesn't feel like it. A ring around my finger is just another form of collar. So is the necklace. In the end, I'm still trapped here

The elevator dinged and Maya got out, striding down the hallway to a large set of double doors. I had no clue which floor we were on, but from the windows I could tell it was a high one. She threw open the doors and entered the meeting, sitting down at the head of the table. Four other people were there, three women and a man. All of them were accompanied by their pets, the two women having males and the man having a female. All three wore collars and gave me a look of resentment from their place against the wall.

"Sky". I glanced over at Maya, who kicked a chair out with her foot and pointed to it. I sheepishly sat down, feeling uncomfortable with everyone's eyes seeming to be on me. Maya slapped her hand against the table and leaned back.

"Alright. We're here to talk about things correct? So talk" She said. Immediately the discussion began.

"Well Miss Redd, as our CEO and basically being our president, you know very well that any Laws that want to be added or changed the process must be approved by you. I'm here to talk about the Pet laws" The first woman said. She looked to be at least 50, maybe a bit older. She had green eyes and short brown hair.

"Yeah. What about them Miss McLyon" Maya replied boredly. She opened up her folder and began pulling papers out.

"The average amount of money spent on pets in total is over $7 million. In order to cut down on some costs I was suggesting that some Laws be changed and new ones put in place. For example, clothing" She said, standing up and walking over to the whiteboard on the wall behind her. Her pet got off of his knees and rushed over to hand her a marker, then returned to his spot. Maya crossed her arms and nodded.

"On average Pet Owners will spend an abundance of approximately $4-5 million overtime for their pet's clothing. Dresses, shoes, etc. I'm suggesting now that we have one standard clothing, The new Catsuits that are being produced for the girls. Easily washable, when they are released you will be able to order 10 at a time for low prices of 1-2 thousand dollars, and it's simple. And comes in variety of other colors for those who don't like black. For the boys, well, don't know yet." She explained. Maya paused to process it, then snorted.

"That. Is a dumb idea. The people here are billionaires, trillionaires, multi-millionaires, etc. Money isn't an issue. Catsuits for the girls to wear as a law? No. We want our pets to stand out. Not look like everyone else." She snapped. The woman turned red and stiffly nodded, returning to her seat. Maya looked at me.

"What do you think Sky?". The room got absolutely quiet. I looked at her, confused. Was she really asking my opinion?

"Uh. Well. M..Maya is right it wouldn't really look good, all pets looking the same. And what would the boys wear? Some have male pets and—"
