Chapter Thirty Two

At 11:30 I heard our door lock and the lights automatically turned off. I connected my collar to the wireless charging device and went to lay down in my bed. That's when I heard the screams. Someone down the hall was screaming bloody murder. I jumped up and raced over to the door. Eve turned over sleepily.

"Relax. It's just someone who got caught outside their room. It happens. She's getting punished and then they'll unlock it for a few seconds and shove her in" She explained. The screams abruptly stopped. Then I heard a cluster of people talking as they went towards the elevator.

I rolled over myself and went to sleep.

Sky's POV:

I stayed away from Maya as much as I could. She would send me texts to do certain things and I would just get up and do them, then go straight back to my bedroom. I slept in the guest room now, not wanting to share a bed with the monster that killed my child. Jasmine unfortunately though, had to stay in Maya's room every time she had to charge her collar. I decided I was done. I got up from my place on the couch and stomped off to my room, grabbing a duffel bag from the closet. I went into Maya's room and ripped open the drawers, throwing my clothes onto the floor. Jasmine got off her pillow which was nearest to the wireless charging device and went over to me.

"Mistress? Do you need help packing?" She said. I merely pointed at the clothes and she went on her knees and began putting them into the bag. I got a second one and started helping her. Once my clothes were done I went into the bathroom and got all my necessities from the shower and sink, putting them into the bag too. I returned into the room and packed Jasmine's pillow and the wireless charging device as well. I grabbed her dragging leash and led her to the elevator. I pressed the down button and the elevator came quick. When the doors slid open I took a step to go in then froze. Maya was standing there, glaring at me.

"And where the hell do you think you're going?"

Erika's POV:

My iPad was delivered early in the morning while Eve and I were showering. We each had our own bathroom complete with a sink, toilet, and a large bathtub and shower. I got out, wrapping my towel around my hair to dry it while I used another to dry off and get dressed and nearly sat on it when I sat on my bed to put my shoes on.

I picked up the orange envelope and opened it, pulling out the iPad. It looked exactly like Samantha's, but smaller. I pressed the home button and the screen turned on, revealing a pink wallpaper. Swiping right to open it, I saw it had YouTube, Spotify, Reminders and the Weather. Opening the AppStore, I was amazed to see I could in fact download tons of games. But only games.

I searched for Candy Crush as a test (which worked) and pressed the download button. The loading screen took up the entire screen and it said I had to wait for the Administration to approve what I was downloading. After a minute or two the loading screen turned into a giant check mark and I closed out of the app to see it was downloaded and I could play it. Looking back into the envelope, I discovered it came with Pink headphones.

"Having fun there?" Eve called as she put on her shoes. Her hair was curly from the shower and she had a towel around her shoulders to keep water from getting on her catsuit.
