Chapter Twenty

Erika has been acting weird lately. No more snide comments, no more backtalk, no more cursing(probably more the collar than me telling her not to), and no more arguing. It was like she became docile and obedient overnight.  She started a weird habit of clipping her leash to her collar before kneeling down beside the bed and stayed quiet unless I talked to her.

Mother had been gone for nearly 3 days. Mom says she's taking a break from everything in one of the spare houses but I guessed she actually didn't know where she was. I asked Erika and Jasmine and both responded with nearly the same thing. She left without a word and didn't come back. I began taking care of Jasmine, letting her sleep with me and Erika and allowing her to eat. She'd probably of started starving herself because she wasn't given permission to eat.

Mom spent way longer time in her office, sometimes skipping entire meals. I'd have Jasmine take some food and go give it to her so she'd eat. But the first time I did that she came back with a huge red mark on her face. Mom had hit her. I asked what happened and her response was simple, she was rightfully 'corrected' by her Mistress's wife. My theory was that Jasmine had probably disturbed her and she got pissed and hit her.

Erika started helping Jasmine clean and cook, probably to fill the boring days. I was angry that Mom just disappeared on my birthday. Mom was currently talking to someone on the phone. She seemed frantic about something. She rushed into the living room and snatched the keys from the table.

"Mom where are you going?" I asked. She briefly turned to me.

"Your mother tried to leave the island"

(Time Skip)

Maya's POV:

I arrived at the police station and was immediately directed to Sky's cell. She was sitting in the corner with her arms crossed in front of her legs.

"Sky?" She didn't move, I stepped closer and she started shaking. Shit

"Sky get up. I'm gonna get you out of here" I said. She slowly got to her feet, wiping her red face. I crossed the small room over to her and forced her to look at me. Her eyes were red from crying so much and she was still shaking.

"Why did you try to leave? Especially using my name. Disappearing for 3 days and then trying to leave your family behind? Why?" I asked. She forced her head away and full on screamed.

"You are NOT MY FAMILY! MY REAL FAMILY IS BACK IN UTAH WHERE YOU TOOK ME FROM! I WANT TO GO HOME!"

I sighed and grabbed her wrist, pulling her along with me. A guard came over and casually handed me a syringe. I took it and stabbed Sky with it, cutting off her screaming to let her go. She collapsed almost instantly. I bent down and picked her up, carrying her out of the station and to the car. Putting her into the backseat I got into the front seat and sped home a lot faster than allowed. Thankfully there was barely anyone on the streets. I carried her inside the elevator and used my elbow to press the button for the penthouse.

Once we got to our floor we opened the door to reveal Erika, Samantha, and Jasmine sitting on the couch. Samantha immediately got up upon seeing her.

"Is Mother okay? Is she sick?" She asked. I ignored her and carried her all the way to our shared room. Jasmine was the only one who followed. I put Sky onto the bed and instructed her to tie her wrists to the bed. She reluctantly obeyed.

"Stay here and watch her. Tell me when she wakes up" I ordered. She nodded and knelt down next to the couch to wait. I let out a big sigh and ran a hand through my hair.

She tried to leave. That stupid girl won't let her forget her old family and other shit. If Samantha didn't like her so much I would of had her gone a while ago

I went to my office and quickly called off the 3 search parties I had out hunting and gave the 4th one the money reward for finding her. I stayed in my chair then tried to think up some punishment for her action. Then I remembered she wasn't my pet anymore. She was my wife. An equal.

I had hoped giving her more freedom would help. Free reign, access to all my accounts, able to get a job. She really misses her home. Just wouldn't let it go. I had to find a way to force her to. I picked my phone up with one hand and used the other to pull a file from my desk, flipping through the papers until I pulled out the one I needed.

Silvergate Airlines

"Hello welcome to the Silvergate Airlines booking line. How may I help you?"

"Yes I'd like to book a private flight for 5. Two pets and Three owners

"Of course Ma'am. That will be $43,000 plus the special security measures that will be installed onto the collars. So $47,582. How would you like to pay"

"Cash"

(Time Skip)

Sky's POV:

When I woke up, I found my hands were tied to the bed. I heard someone get up and run out of the room. Everything that happened came rushing back and I found myself wanting to cry again. Those three days I stayed locked in a hotel room, which I paid for with credit. I was surprised Maya didn't find me after using her credit card. What Erika said hurt.

Am I really just Maya's bitch? Does she really love me?

The door swung open, revealing Maya with Jasmine following close behind. She sat on the couch and reached over to the side table to pour herself a drink. She waved her hand and Jasmine bowed and left the room, closing the door behind her.

"Sky. I'll just get straight to the point, why did you try to leave?" She asked. I swallowed, closing my eyes to stop tears from whelming.

"I....I wanted to go home..to see my family.." I stumbled over myself. She sighed loudly and took a sip.

"You really miss your family huh" She said. I nodded, a tear sliding down my face. She got up and I instantly became scared. She's gonna punish me I just knew it. I closed my eyes as she came closer, waiting for the pain. Instead, I felt her untie my wrists and help me to my feet.

"I...I'm not gonna hurt you. No whips no shocks. Nothing. You're not my pet anymore. You're my wife. Don't forget that. And about your family...I've booked a flight. We're going to Utah for three days.". She mused. I squealed. Gone was my sadness and back was my happiness. I was going to see my family!

"Really? Thank You Thank You Thank You! Wait what about the pets? Surely people are gonna ask about the collars" I asked. Maya sighed.

"Yeah. They're going to be house restricted. Maybe Jasmine could go in public but definitely not Erika." She explained. I nodded and kissed her. She smiled.

"Whatever makes you happy Baby" She promised. Then pulled me to the bed. I happily followed.

My family gets to see me after so long. What will I say? I had a daughter! And what about Maya? Should I say she's my wife? To them I just vanished.
