Erika's POV:

My Mother was over the moon once she got the phone call. The police station had gotten me a flight back to Arkansas and she had to been at the airport waiting for me. Lots of tears and lots of hugging.

I was taken to the police station and had to explain everything that happened. It sounded crazy even from my mouth. Sky had been right about one thing though, they weren't believing me. They tried to tell me I might have Stockholm Syndrome and I didn't have to "protect my captor with made up stories".

They also told me there was a girl in California who had the same claims. Her name was Madison. A picture showed to me of a blonde girl with green eyes and fair skin. They told me she was 18 when this picture was taken, and now she was 37. I asked for her address.

Madison looked like She aged at least fifty years. Her green eyes were no longer bright and her blonde hair was all over the place. She wore tattered clothing and her apartment had beer bottles scattered around. She was miserable.

"Who are you?.." She asked, leaning hard against the doorframe. I tried to ignore the smell of her apartment.

"I'm Erika I—"

"I don't care". I barely managed to catch the door with my foot before she slammed it in my face.

"I escaped from the island!"

She froze. Then opened the door and grabbed my wrist, pulling me inside.

"You. You were kidnapped too?" She asked, ushering me into the kitchen. I sat down at the table and she pushed all the beer bottles off into the garbage.

Geez

"Yes. I was Samantha Redd's pet. I got my collar off and those weird bracelets and—"

"Who's Samantha? Maya's daughter or something? I told the police about Maya but apparently she's got some clean slate and I'm lying" She cut me off again.

"Maya and Sky's daughter. I.. I killed her. Smothered her to death to escape. To escape. And I went to the police and they said I was lying. I..I don't know what to do" I replied quickly so she wouldn't cut me off again.

We talked for a long time, Madison cutting me off nearly every time I said something new to ask questions. Her eyes would darken when I mentioned Sky. She and Sky were trapped together and she describes her as Broken. Someone who just gave up and went with anything. She disliked the idea of Sky marrying Maya.

I checked the time on my phone that my mom had given me. She had been given it by the police about a month after I disappeared. It was late. I bid Madison goodnight and called my mom to bring me home.

(Two years later)

I had nearly rebuilt my entire life. I had a steady job, my own apartment, a car, and even a dog. I named the small husky pup Eve. I still occasionally talked to Madison, helping her through her depression.

Coming home from a long day of work I put my keys down on the table and went to shower. When I got out I slipped on my pajamas and decided to go into the kitchen for a snack. Cracking open my fridge, I picked up the water bottle I had in there and some fruit. Draining the bottle, I ate the fruit and went to the living room to watch tv. Had to admit I missed the cool tech Samantha had in her house. I sat down on the couch and flicked on the tv, rubbing my head. Work had given me a headache.

Samantha.

It's been two years since I smothered her to death. They were bound to of found it out by now. I had dreams about her, waking up in her house with that collar around my neck. I'd follow her everywhere. Then she's be murdered. By me. I always woke up in a cold sweat after one of those.

Im surprised no one has come after me. I really was free.

No more collars. I could eat, sleep, shower, leave the house, etc without getting permission from someone. I could have friends. My coworkers were all nice people. My family was still my family.

I was free.

It was hard deciding what I could do first I immediately went and bought a cart full of sweet stuff, savoring the things I'd never of gotten if I was still with Samantha. The next thing I did was sleep in and spend the whole day watching tv and making cookies.

The last thing I did was go out and buy my own toys. Mother would faint if she saw my purchase history. I spent a good 2-4 hours everyday in pure ecstasy. It did also help with stress.

Freedom never felt so good.

(Time Skip)

Sky's POV:

"Mother! where the hell is my phone!" I smiled as Layla stomped her way into the room. Her long brown hair was flying all over the place, her brown eyes narrowing in annoyance. I glanced up from my laptop.

"Layla. Did you check your backpack? You put it in there last night before you did your homework" I replied. She stomped over to her backpack and rummaged around. Blushing, she pulled her phone out of it.

"That's...Fine. Thank You Mother" She said. I rolled my eyes and smirked. My adopted daughter wasn't the brightest, but she did a damn good job when it comes to fashion advice. Speaking of which.

"Hey where's Mom?" She asked, picking up her backpack and slinging it onto her back. "I wanna talk to her about what my part of the company is gonna be. And does my shirt go good with the jeans? Or should I wear a skirt?"

"You're only 4. You won't get it until you're 19 Layla. You ask her that question nearly everyday. And you look fine" I replied back. I stood up and snapped my fingers. Jasmine, now 20, rushed in and fell to her knees.

"Yes Mistress?"

"Escort my daughter to school pet. Then return here. We have work to do" I ordered. Jasmine obeyed and both disappeared into the elevator. After Samantha's death, I had taken over her part of the company that Maya had given her.

Samantha. My daughter.

I couldn't of cared less if Erika escaped. I didn't try to help her and I knew Maya would take care of it through her contacts. But she murdered my daughter. I wanted revenge.

But I couldn't leave Maya. This was my home. Plus, who would be the one to clean up Layla's nearly constant messes?

Right on cue I heard the elevator ding. In walked Maya, carrying about two unmarked boxes in her arms. I quickly rushed over and took them.

"Maya! You shouldn't be carrying things! Use your pet!" I said sternly. Her response was to kiss me.

"Hello to you too. And Ava is helping. She's carrying the other three. She should be coming after me." She replied. I heard the elevator ding again and Maya's pet Ava came out, balancing three boxes in her hands. Maya pointed to a spot on the floor and she placed them there, kneeling down beside them.

"You're pregnant for god sakes!" I gently tapped her very large belly and she giggled.

"Stop that it tickles. And yes I'm very aware I'm pregnant" She replied.

"I can't believe we're having a son" I whispered, gently hugging her. I was sort of relieved that Maya had chosen to carry out the pregnancy herself and not me. I'd probably be the one taking care of it though. Or Jasmine.

After Maya had terminated my son years ago, she's been fighting with herself constantly over the decision. Eventually she came to a decision of her own and decided to have a son. She promised to let me name him. She was only 3 months pregnant and already huge. The tech allowed for sped up pregnancy, so in the 4th month she'll be ready to give birth just like I did.

"I know. And don't you dare name him Sammy" She said, pointing a finger sternly into my chest. I fake pouted and she punched me in the arm.

"What about Zane? I like Zane" I mused. She kissed me again and snapped her fingers at Ava to help carry the supplies to her office.

"Zane it is"
