Back at the castle, Frank Keenan went to Lydia's door to see if she was awake in her room.
"Lydia are you awake?"
He asked.
When there was no reply he opened her door. He found the room empty. He walked back through the hallway, close to his meeting room and found something on the floor. It was Jason's Night hunter badge. Jason must've dropped it when he and Lydia bumped into each other. After searching the areas where Lydia could be, the commander wasn't successful. Then the commander looked at Jason's badge again. He thought of how reluctant Jason was before he sent him to scrub the armor. The commander thought that that this was an appropriate punishment, since Jason didn't always listen to his orders. But when, Keenan walked back through the corridor to the meeting room, he noticed something else on the ground. Something small and shiny. A potion vial. After picking it up, Keenan Identified as a sour flask. He thought back when Lydia had left the meeting room, mad of her father's decision of not letting her explore on her own. If Jason was angry with Keenan, he could of used the sour flask on Lydia, to take her from him. Keenan then went to go check if Jason was where he usually slept to see if this was a possibility. He was not in the dormitory as the commander guessed. He was really mad. He took out his bottle of carrot juice, and took a large sip. He figured that if Jason did kidnap her, it would give another excuse to ban him permanently. Keenan called all the night hunters to the meeting room. Where there were tables and benches. Keenan made his way to the front of the room. Even Jeffrey was feeling well enough to be there. The commander made an announcement.
"Attention everyone. Does anybody know where my daughter is?"
All of them shook their heads.
"Well as you may know, one of you has been banned temporarily from hunting, And I think I know why he hasn't bothered to show up here. "
Tony's smile was wider than ever.
Jeffrey and Brad looked confused.
"Are you saying that Jason has something to do with Lydia's disappearance?" Jeffrey asked.
"That is exactly what I'm saying Jeffrey. So if any of you are able to find either Lydia and or Jason, I will let that hunter marry her and to finish Jason off." The male night hunters started yelling. He turned to a few of female night hunters who were Lydia's friends.
"Of course, I'm sure you girls would prefer something else, if you do find them."
The girl with blue highlights in her brown hair looked at him.
"Yeah, we like Lydia as our friend, but I don't think we are that close with her. She laughed as her friends did too.
"Well, if you do find her Abella, You can tell me what you girls want." Abella switched her gaze to Jeffrey. She noticed that he shook his head as Keenan was telling them the news of his friend's disappearance.
"Are we certain that Jason Bowel would kidnap Lydia?" Abella said.
Tony laughed. "He was mad that the commander banned him right? Perfect excuse to kidnap his daughter."
Jeffrey looked at Keenan.
"What if it's just a coincidence that Jason and Lydia are missing at the same time?"
He asked the commander. Abella nodded.
"I found a sour flask vial near the meeting room, where I also found Jason's night hunter badge. The meeting room was the last place I saw her. Explain that."
Brad sighed remembering Jason getting a bottle of the potion earlier.
"It could be another coincidence, Frank."
"I'm not taking any chances. But, Jeffrey, Abella. Feel free to join the search though, maybe you can prove me wrong."
And Frank Keenan sent the rest of the night hunters to get their weapons.
Abella and Jeffrey both shared nervous looks.
Keenan took a picture he had of Lydia, and one of Jason and gave them to one of the night hunters. He was much younger than the others.
"Make at least thirty copies of each, and send the hawks to spread them across Oscana."
Keenan left the room.
The 15 year old nodded and brought the two pictures to a table. He took Jason's and Lydia's picture and wrote something with a feather pen on each of them. Then he brought them to a rectangular metal box, that looked pretty ordinary. It had a slot where he laid the photos down in. But when the boy pressed the green button, the photos started multiplying by magic. Sparks flying as the piles stacked higher and higher.
Hawks started swooping down to grab the flyers. They flew out the window.
Jeffrey stared at one of the flyers. It said:
"Jason Bowel wanted for kidnapping Lydia Keenan. If anybody finds one or the other please send letter by hawk to Frank Keenan. A Reward will be offered."
Brad walked towards Jeffrey and Abella.
"Do you believe what Keenan is saying?"
Both of them shook their heads.
Jeffrey crumpled the flyer and headed to the dormitories.
"Where are you going Jeffrey?"
Brad asked him almost running. Abella followed.
"I want to ask Jason myself."
"How are you supposed to do that?" She asked.
"My hawk can deliver the message."
He made sure no one else was in the room with them before sending the hawk out the window. He figured Keenan would think it was just another hawk bringing a flyer to the village.
Brad looked worried.
"I sure hope Jason didn't do anything stupid."
